My husband and I had a great stay at Roman’s property on Cedar Island. This home is fully stocked with everything you need and even extra toiletries in case you forget something! Communication with Roman was great and he was quick to respond to all my questions. He gave us privacy and was not invasive at all, like some property owners can be, but if we needed anything he responded immediately. The house was larger than the listing portrays and we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of space. We hope to come back with our families because the house is that large with numerous sleeping accommodations. The covered porches were great to sit out in the mornings and drink coffee or sip wine in the evenings. Even with it being near other homes, it was very private and super quiet. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day lives. The location is perfect for those seeking to get away from it all and slow down a bit but still close to take a ferry to islands or drive out to Beaufort and Morehead City. Cell service is hit or miss on the island, but there’s WiFi at the house, which we hardly used because we enjoyed being able to unplug a bit. I love the down home feel and hospitality that Cedar Island and the people here have. It’s a refreshing and welcomed atmosphere away from all the “touristy-ness” of other locations near the Outer Banks. If you love the outdoors, fishing, slowing down and taking in the scenery while exploring all the untouched nature this island has to offer, I highly recommend this property! It’s a home away from home, with a pond and pool! I can’t say enough how peaceful and welcoming this property was and how much we appreciated Roman’s hospitality and the attention to small details he’s put into this home! (I also enjoyed the visit from the sweet, black Lab, who watched from a distance in the neighboring yard most of the time, but finally came over to say hello and sit in the grass with me one evening! We recently lost out black lab so this sweet boy absolutely warmed my soul with his snuggles!)
I also wanted to add, because I’ve seen a lot of people mention the mosquitoes on the island.. yes, there’s a lot of mosquitoes but if you’re from coastal Carolina, it’s nothing new and a can of bug spray does wonders. I left after 4 days with zero bites.
Thanks again Roman! Hope to be back soon!
