"Mara is a wonderful host! It was such a pleasure staying at this location A few things to keep in mind: - There's no wifi at the residence but you can purchase a cheap wifi card from a store close to the park in Santa Marta. You'll have to ask around to find out where to purchase it and where your devices will get reception - Mara doesn't cook breakfast for visitors but there are stalls and restaurants close to the residence that you can purchase food from - The electricity does go out...

"The host is a great person who takes care of me a lot. Even though we have a language barrier since I don't understand Spanish, we try to use Google Translate to communicate with each other. But there is no wifi and hot water (I should say the water is warm?) for the shower. "

"This is by far the best place I stayed during my solo trip. It’s not far from the beach, there are nice dinning options around and also not far from Varadero airport. Olivia the host is very amazing at making you feel comfortable and home away from home. I’ll definitely be back to this place!"

"This was probably the worst room we have ever stayed in on our travels, and we travel a lot. The room is very small, more like a closet, without window so its very dark and the only light is when you leave the door open, but the worst for sure is extrem humidity in this room and the smell of it… we tried to come to this room only for sleep and it was awful that we couldnt cancel our stay.. also the owner or renter gave us wifi codes to use and pay for hours we will be online, but it didnt work...

"All I can say is thank you Tatiana for being such a lovely host! We had an amazing stay in Varadero, everything was super clean, breakfast was great and Tatiana always made sure everything is perfect. 10/10 recommended if you’re in Varadero. Location is also top, you can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. I don’t think I ever stayed in such a clean apartment, Tatiana knows what she’s doing! "The lady who owns the house is very nice, responsive helpful local. It was across the beach, 2 minute walk., crossing 1st Avenida. The only thing is it was a bit noisy as close to the street, other than that it’s clean, safe and very good location. "
