"A unique lakeside hotel with good facilities. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed a basic dinner and breakfast. The staff were very accommodating, for which we were grateful after a long drive. "

"Our group (7 adults, 7 kids and one teenager) had an absolutely wonderful two week stay in September 2023. The gite was even better than as shown in the pictures (if that's even possible) and quickly became our oasis for the trip. The large outdoor living space and fireplace were absolutely perfect in the mid-September weather, and the gite had everything needed for a great stay (and some wonderfully creative meals using produce from the many nearby local markets). Sophie, our host was absolutely lovely, easy to deal with and full of knowledge about the area. The nearby village of Mongauzy was a great early morning stop for breakfast pastries and our daily bread, or for a late afternoon aperitif at the local resto-bar. The gite was well located as a base to explore the beautiful bastide towns and castles in the area, including the town of La Reole (and its beautiful Saturday market) and to take longer day trips to Bordeaux & the wine country, the Dordogne, and beyond. Overall, a thoroughly excellent experience, that we wholeheartedly recommend, and a truly memorable vacation."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hameau Barnabe. Patricia and Thierry were very accommodating and made every effort to ensure we had all that we needed. The house was beautifully decorated and easy to feel at home in. The space worked really well for a multi-generational family and the separate kitchen was especially useful. We could also walk down to the village in 15 minutes to pick up basic supplies and baked goods in the morning. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend to friends and family."

"Lovely hotel, staff friendly, restaurant exceptional. Room clean with good facilities but very small with sliding door between the bed and bathroom which didn’t quite cover the gap and was broken so was swinging. Also walls very thin could hear everything !"
