"Converted Villa with 4 rooms in Jaffna suburbs. Nicely converted with pool, garden and small dining area. Accommodation roomy but with no natural light. "Reserved thro expedia for a week. When call them that we were running late and checking a bit late , the guy Rajan told no longer the reservation is honoured and cancelled. So diagusting and rude was that. We flew from Far far away ie Toronto and this is so horrible and shocking .first time we ever had to face such a situation at last minute. "The building here is a bit old, and you can see the wear and tear in the space, but that just makes it interesting. This is a great, central, inexpensive space to stay when you see Jaffna. "The parking area and the drive was muddy. When I came back after dinner around 9.30 pm the Auto dropped me outside the gate and ended up walking in soggy mud to reach the hotel foyer. After that spent about 20 to 30 miniutes cleaning my shoes. Not enough 13 amp socket outlets. Only one socket outlet for mobile router, mobile battery charger, etc. Some corners of the room floor, walls and the ceiling were not cleaned properly. See photos."

"Subhas hotel is a great place to stay in Jaffna. It is located in the heart of the town and well-connected to other parts of the Peninsula and to the South by train and bus. The owners and staff were very friendly and always there to help us out. We definitely recommend Subhas hotel and look forward to return in the future! Thanks for a nice stay!"
