Casa Novo Horizonte by Portucasa

Casa Novo Horizonte is situated on the edge of a small urbanisation, just outside the coastal town of Altura. A very beautiful location: from the back terrace you have unobstructed views over fields of almond and olive trees. Near this terrace you will also find the swimming pool and the barbecue. It is a real family house, nicely decorated; you will feel at home immediately! Comfortable both in summer and winter because all rooms have air conditioning. From the living room, dining room and kitchen you can access the beautiful south-facing back terrace.

Surroundings Altura
The family resort of Altura is 1 km from the house, the beautiful beach of Altura (with lifeguards, sports facilities and sunbeds) is over 2 km. This beach is a wide sandy beach
of approximately 15 km long. It invites you to make long beach walks! The beach offers sufficient free parking space and, in the summer, everything you could wish for as a seaside visitor.
The village of Altura is close to the Spanish border. Beautiful beaches in the immediate vicinity are Praia Verde, Manta Rota, Cabanas and Monte Gordo.
The beautiful town of Tavira is a 15-minute drive away. Sufficient possibilities for day trips to Portugal and Spain (Seville). Fanatic golfers can also find their way here in the midst of 5 golf courses including Monte Rei at less than 5 km.

Definitely need a car
Just returned after 14 fabulous days in the villa. Can't fault anything with it. Hot weather, air conditioning inside. Pool lovely. Kitchen well equipped. Bedrooms all good size. KatyPau was very helpful and friendly. Not far from Altura shops (car) Monte Gordo beach is lovely with many restaurants and shops. Such a beautiful peaceful location with a few animals sounds to keep you entertained. Just get a cafe/bar built nearer too the villa so you can walk to it.

Nice house
The house was a pleasant house, with all amenities. It was clean and well cared for. The terrace with a south-facing view was lovely. The air conditioners made it easy to heat the room even in the evenings, which are still cold in January/February. The house is located in a separate neighborhood, further from Altura than expected. A walk to the village center is not easy. The house was a bit damp, especially in one of the bedrooms. The manager of the house was not present at our reception, which was annoying. She was also unable to be present when we left. Telephone contact was good and a complaint about the WiFi was resolved fairly quickly.

Great accommodation, plenty of space and fully equipped for a relaxing break. Pool is a real bonus with beach about 20 minute walk away. Quiet location, perfect for a peaceful holiday.

Es hat uns ansonsten alles gefallen. Das Haus war sehr sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet und alles hat kontaktlos und reibungslos geklappt. Sehr gute Lage. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und sehr schöne Strände in der Nähe. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten wie auch nach Spanien gut zu erreichen. Allerdings haben früh morgens und abends bzw. auch nachts viele Hunde gebellt. Aufgrund des ständigen Hundegebells würden wir die Unterkunft nicht mehr mieten. Sonst sehr ruhige Lage. Für das Hundegebell können Sie leider nichts und dies somit auch nicht verbessern.
