This is definitely a much loved family home and has character. Not everything is pristine, but once you allow yourself to relax into the pace of life, it is a lovely place to sit back and enjoy like an old family friend. John is a great host and immediately available to answer any questions.

Fantastic location!
Absolutely stunning place! The beautiful, safe beach is just a few minutes walk away. Perfect location to explore all that the Ring of Kerry and further afield has to offer. It was definitely helped by the most perfect weather for the whole week too!! The house was lovely, and has everything you’d need.

Excellent family home
We had a fabulous week at this house the location is beautiful, so close to the beach and nearby villages, lots of things to do near and far. The house had absolutely everything we needed for the week, and was a lovely family home, and was clean. The bonus for the kids was the pool table and games. A few repairs are needed though, broken chairs, broken taps, windows sellotaped and dirty and broken lights and no light bulbs in some rooms. There is also no barbecue that was in the listing and the microwave didn't work. Not big things so could be easily fixed for a more enjoyable stay. Although didn't put us off enjoying our holiday or spending time in the house, you can tell its a well loved family holiday home

Staycation to remember
What a wonderful surprise. This house is truly a hidden gem. From the beach, location and it’s scenic breathtaking views we are completely taken back. As soon as we walked in we felt at home and you can really feel the love in this home and how much joy it brings to the owners. Our kids would swim every day in nearby beaches regardless of the weather. Lots to do and see in this part of Kerry and we really do hope to come back next year if John will still allow us to share this home. Thank you 😊

Amazing coastal Kerry holiday
Stunning views of sea and mountains from this lovely holiday home. The location is great, with the beautiful White Strand just a few minutes walk. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area also. Well equipped kitchen, lovely crisp bed linen and a great boot room. Owner John very responsive to any questions and Kathleen on hand locally if in need of anything.

My stay
The house was lovely, nice setup, everything you need was there from the kitchen to wetsuits to a pool table!! Kathleen was very friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to the beach but you do have to cross a main road so depending on ages of kids thats awkward. We enjoyed our stay but the one thing I would suggest is that because the house has such beautiful views out the back it would be great if the owners could cut the garden, lower the hedge etc and do up the back of it as it would be beautiful to sit out on a patio to the magnificent views. Thanks

Best holiday house ever!
We have just spent a wonderful week staying in John's house in Skehana. We have stayed in many holiday houses over the years with our 5 children and this is by far the best ever renting experience yet!! The house was so roomy and spacious and this was a true home from home experience in every sense of the word. The kitchen was so well equipped it put my own kitchen to shame! The board games, huge variety of books and puzzles were just brilliant... Not to mention the golf, boules, rugby ball, ping pong and pool table.... What a bonus!! There was even a huge selection of wet suits and hiking boots.... I could go on. We were made to feel so welcome. The beautiful beach is just a stones throw... Literally... And we were often nearly the only ones on it. My children have all requested that if we have to cancel our holiday to Italy due to covid AGAIN next year then this is where they want to come back to! That just says it all really. Thank you so much John for a wonderful and very memorable holiday!

A spacious, comfortable well equipped home in a fabulous location with wonderful views
We had a great time in this wonderful house. Plenty of space for 7 of us. The kitchen has everything you need including a stunning view of the coast. 5 minutes downhill walk from a lovely sandy cove to swim and kayak. Derrynane nature reserve and house a short drive. On rainy days jigsaws, pool, games and a great collection of books to entertain. It was the perfect homely place to celebrate my 60th with family. Kathleen, the housekeeper made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

Wonderful place to experience Ireland
The house was warm and inviting and big enough for our family. The kitchen was well-stocked and we had several meals in the spacious kitchen. It was a very short walk to a beautiful and rugged beach. At first we were worried that we had rented a place so far from major cities but it turned out to be wonderful. We mixed with the local people who gave us great advice on day excursions that we probably wouldn’t have found with a tour. Additionally the house owners provided great suggestions for restaurants in the area where we made new friends. I would highly recommend the area and this house specifically.

Wonderful holidays
We stayed in this property for 10 nights and were overwhelmed by the friendly embrace the house offered to us. Location near the small White Strand beach is perfect, the sea views enchanting and the closeness to local shop and pub very convenient. We explored the whole area and loved to come back to „our“ house in the afternoons or evenings. It is a refreshing alternative to sterile newly-built holiday homes. A house loved, used and cherished by the owners. For us as a family of 5, the house was very spacious and the huge mudroom that formed the entrance hall a thing worth imitating if we should ever build another house at home :-). Our challenges with the water heater were quickly and uncomplicatedly solved by Kathleen, cottage carer, and it was very lovely meeting her. We would certainly recommend this house to families and thank the McNulty family heartily for hosting us.
