"Booked this hotel out of necessity because we wanted to do the bioluminescence tour in Castine (also highly recommend) and the Bucksport Inn just happened to be conveniently located. So glad we did! First, the service was exceptional. They called us the morning of our reservation to inform us that the TV in our room was broken, but to offer a different type of room (2 queens vs a king). "It is a great place to stay. We love retro spaces and this is great! Lots of space, nice amenities and great views. Also a great outdoor area with a fire! Apparently they have a clientele that returns year after year because they all knew each other. We would go back any time. "

"The room was amazingly beautiful and the hosts were helpful. The problem was the room was freezing and would not get warm. Luckily it was just a couples getaway so I was able to run home and get a small heater. If you are going to be open in the winter make sure the heater works!! We will definitely stay again just not during the winter. "

"The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!"
