This is a pleasant nicely decorated house at the foot of the nearby vineyards of Saint Emilion. It has 3 stars in the official classification of furnished accommodation.

Fees extra and optional:
The rental of the pack sheets and towels is optional with additional charge: 30 euros for the group and per stay.
Cleaning (optional): 75 euros

Located in a residential area near the city center, shops are less than 5 minutes walk. The nearest railway station will allow you to go to Bordeaux, Libourne or Sarlat regional train.

The cottage has all the facilities of comfort.

For ease of use, the kitchen is open to the living room and dining room in a large through-room (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, oven, induction hob, extractor, fridge-freezer ).

You have a bathroom with bath and heated towel rail and a separate WC.

Come with family or friends, the house is large enough to comfortably accommodate 6 people:
- Zen bedroom with a double bed (140x190)
- Ocean bedroom with a double bed (140x190)
- Vintage room with two single beds (90x200)
Pets are allowed except in the sleeping (rooms)

Guests can relax in a garden of 1000 m² closed and shaded. Barbecue, garden furniture and 4 sun loungers are available. A pleasant space is fitted to the rear of the house, near the vineyards, to take breakfast or an aperitif. It is possible to park several vehicles inside the property.

Charming Gite close to Castillon-la-Bataille
Lovely well kept Gite a few minutes walk from the centre of Castillon-la-Bataille. Very well presented and all the equipment you need for an enjoyable stay. The garden is private and overlooks a a hillside of vineyards. So relaxing. Also close to the train station with easy access to St Emilion and Bordeaux in one direction and Bergerac and Salat la caneda in the other. Stayed here twice now and can recommend it to others.

3 Bedroom Home with Vinyard View
This house is lovely. It is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. Outside there was a table and chairs with an umbrella where you could sit and look out onto the vines behind the property and enjoy a glass of local wine left for us by the owner. Thankyou Jerome. There were also Bicycles in the shed for guests use. Inside the bed was comfortable as was the lounge and the shower good. Communication with the owner was good and prompt and check in was easy. The area is good for exploring the vinyards and surrounding area. Note the train into Bordeaux is not running at the moment. There is a park and ride about twenty minutes away which is easy and cheap. The town of Castillion-Bastille is nothing much and as a previous reviewer mentioned there is nowhere where you can just go to have a coffee. We had dinner at home or went into St Emillion which is about 15-20 minutes away and has lots of restauants and cafes.

Home away from home in Castillon-la Bataille
Our house in Castillon-la Bataille was exactly what I wanted. This house was the perfect size for our two month stay. Since we are from the US it had the totally French farmhouse feel I was looking for but was updated and had a kitchen with every convenience needed. I most enjoyed the outdoor area with the front porch looking out on a spacious yard with 15 trees and the backyard was large and had a view if the vineyard behind it. It was equipped with a large table and chair set and umbrella. During our visit we had friends and family visit and felt it was the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine or sharing a meal or bar-b-que. The town of Castillon was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't very conducive for sitting for a café and croissant or walking around. I would recommend Le Mounan, La Fontaine de Manon and a small place just on the other side of the river by the bridge called La Plage for dining, Fortunately, the train station is a 5 minute walk and is your magic carpet ride to things in the area. We availed ourselves of it numerous times for both Bordeaux and Sarlat-au- Canada. adventures. Also highly rated sights to visit St Emilion, Arcachon for the beach, Beynac canoe trip is also marvelous and the monthly bio festival at Chateau des Rochers on the hill above the house. The house was perfect for our needs and the walks we took in the area were very beautiful. We took advantage and wandered above the hill for the gorgeous views, along the river and through the outlying neighborhoods.

Relaxing, with time to enjoy the Region
We had a really great time riding our bikes around the local area. The property is ideally located on the edge of the town backing onto vineyards,.It sites at a market town (Castillion) about half way between Libourne and St Foy Le Grande ( with Bergerac about 15 mins further down the road). The property is well provisioned and comfortable without being cluttered, it has everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Daniel who meets you is very welcoming. There are local markets to explore, two lakes with swimming facilities near by, the Dordogne and the wine making heritage of the Region. We'll be booking again.

Property was ideal for five of us to spend a few days in the Dordogne area. There's not much in Castillon la Bataille, however it did have a couple of supermarkets and also some nice eating places. Castillon is ideally placed to visit places like Domme, St Emilion, Libourne and Bordeaux

Sehr gemütliches Haus in Mitten der Weinberge
Ein sehr gemütliches Haus in Mitten der Weinberge. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Vermieter sind sehr nett. In castillon ist alles fußläufig erreichbar, nach st emilion ist es nur ein Katzensprung. Wir haben besonders den Zug viel genutzt. Ein paar Mückengitter an den Fenstern wären super, um die Fenster mehr öffnen zu können.

Gite confortable conforme à la description. Accueil chaleureux par Jérôme et suivi par Cécile très sympa. Gare à 5 minutes à pieds idéale pour visiter Bordeaux ou Sarlat. Un tout petit bémol : centre ville pas tres sécurisant mais cest peut-être une impression. Je recommande vivement aux amateurs de vins (de nombreuses caves)

La propriété est des années 70, elle est globalement restée dans son jus. Il faudrait que les fenêtres soient en double vitrage (à cause de la voie ferrée) et remplacer la baignoire par une douche. C'est travaux réalisés apporterai un plus. Cordialement

Fnktionales Haus und gute Infrastruktur vor Ort
Das Haus hat alles, was es braucht. Diesmal kam eine Klimaanlge hilfreich hinzu. Das Beste sind die schönen alten Bäume auf dem Gelände vor dem Haus. Hinter dem Haus ist es etwas kahl, deswegen nehmen wir den Tisch und die Stühle nach vorne. Unter den Bäumen lässt es sich aushalten.

Nous avons été enchantés par notre location, au calme tout en permettant de jolies balades dans les environs, gare très proche, centre ville avec beaucoup d'activités pour bles enfants. Nous avons pu faire un atelier artistique parents-enfants, pas mal de visites, de belles balades... La maison est bien équipée, avec vue sur les vignes, voisinage très calme... Petite villa au milieu d’un grand jardin arboré. Super bien équipée tant du point de vue de l’électroménager, que des petits plus qui facilitent la vie : produits d’entretien, papier d’aluminium, Sopalin, film alimentaire etc... Un seul petit bémol : les lits en 140 cm et les éclairages un peu tristounets. Une ou deux petites lampes dans le salon donneraient une petite ambiance intime. Séjour parfait en famille
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Castillon-La-Bataille. La location est conforme à la description. Nous avons apprécié son double jardin (ombragé à l’avant de la maison) Elle est très bien située : commerces accessibles à pied, gare à proximité pour se rendre à Bordeaux notamment, de nombreux sites à visiter aux alentours.
