"Nice hotel and good service. I did not realize I didn’t pick breakfast with our reservation and didn’t get told at checkin. The app does have a note that the cost is 10 euro per person, but I was charged 15. Suggest you verify at checkin. Also, no lift in the area we stayed - might be in others."

"The agriturismo was amazing, the highlights were the hosts, the dinner and the beautiful pets on the property. The room was very clean, the staff would clean the rooms while we were at breakfast usually. The area is safe and was super quiet at night, you can only hear the wind. The dinners (set course) were incredible, and the hosts changed the menu every night we were there. Breakfast was a variety of pastries, fruit and coffee. The animals included beautiful and friendly cats, one which had kittens recently and 2 beautiful and awesome dogs. The property had green mountains on both sides, was just beautiful. If you want another option for dinner (but stay at the agriturismo! dinner is at 8pm), there is a village 2 miles away but make reservations in advance. Overall can't wait to visit again, esp to see the hosts, they work so incredibly hard and always have smiles on their faces. Super kind people! Will be back again!"

"This place is so special! Absolutely beautiful location, the staff is so sweet, breakfast is great with a mountain view. The rooms feel so special. This is a hidden gem and there's no way it can stay a secret for long. Note, though, that you *definitely* need to have your own car if you're staying here. It's very remote and there are no restaurants in the town currently (at least while we were staying there). Totally worth it but just something to know."

"This hotel is a memorable trip back in time. Sextantio purchased and renovated 30 rooms in the village, each one with a different character, charm, and challenge. The rooms were restored with basic amenities, but it is easy to imagine the simple life people lived centuries ago. The atmosphere is reinforced with candlelight and fireplaces. Upon entering the historic dining room or the Cantinone, you may be motivated to take pictures prior to eating your sumptuous breakfast or relaxing with an afternoon drink. Although the evening meal was acceptable, be sure to check out other restaurants in the village that offer local menu options. Our family group was made up of senior citizens (70-80), so we experienced a few challenges during our stay. The cobblestone lanes can be slick, even when dry, so be sure to where sturdy shoes with hiking soles, and walk carefully. Parking is distant from the hotel complex, so ask for assistance when moving your luggage. The bathroom areas in some rooms are very small and minimally lit. Given this historic inconvenience, we weren’t motivated to shower. The village is still recovering from the earthquake of 2009, so cranes and construction crews provide a sobering reminder of the courage and commitment it takes to preserve ancient communities. The dramatic beauty of area mountains is attractive for hikers, but you’ll be sharing dirt roads with bikers as you seek solitude. This was a memorable stay overall, thanks to Sextantio. "

"We've just got home after a really good stay at Casa Rosa and we can't recommend the place enough. Casa Rosa itself is set in a very quiet part of the village and we had a really peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The property has everything you need to unwind and relax and several outdoor spaces to escape from, or enjoy the sun! The village itself is lovely and the locals are very friendly, kind and polite. We enjoyed days out in surrounding villages and towns, there are too many nice ones to name individually but we particularly enjoyed Scanno, Pacentro and Sulmona.Abruzzo really is a beautiful region and we will definitely return to this property.
