"This hotel is perched above the town and has a beautiful garden filled with fruit trees, and views of the duomo, town and valley. It's a lovely, quiet place and it even has parking about 5 minutes up the hill, which is impossible to find in Ragusa Ibla. The staff are very gracious, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was so quiet, and the bed was very comfortable with a mattress topper. We highly recommend it. "

"There were things we've appreciated, such as friendly host, who tried his best to help us, cheerful dog and cheap price. However the list of disappointing things is much longer. The biggest problem was dirty towels with black spots, which looked like it fell on the floor. Midsize towels were almost clean, but two big towels had a significant dirt. "Check in was smooth as Pippo and Lucia were there when we arrived. Property is beautiful, very clean, a lovey terrace with beautiful views across Modica. However, Modica is a city of steps and Casa Alecci is in Modica Alta which is atcthe veryvtop so make sure you have transport sorted before you arrive. In addition, the property has no internet access so make sure you have a data package. We loved our stay at Modica in Casa Alecci but it may not suit everyone. "
