Then when we did make it into town we drove to the property and quickly turned around and booked a new place. This house is the only decent thing on the block. It is in the hood and not safe for families to stay if you are not from the area or if you plan on going outside the house at all. "This apartment is perfect for people looking to explore NYC, having a good place to sleep in a convenient location away from the city buzz. Amazing location in a good neighborhood, walking distance to a bus stop that drops you off at NY bus terminal. It’s no more than 30 minutes door to door. Astonishing view from NY skyline during most of the way. "The place was beautiful, clean and cozy. The neighborhood while being rated "dangerous" was quiet and calm. We were suprised by the neighborhood at first, but never had any issues. Check-in was easy, but it is a keyed entry and the key had a mind of its own so it took us a couple minutes to get in. It was a tight entry through two doors and immediately downstairs into the basement, but once there it was very spacious and enjoyable for the whole family. I would stay again."

"My brother, sister, and I drove up to stay at this home. Though we saw pictures of the view, they didn’t capture how awesome it really is!! The place was more than accommodating for the three of us. It was super close to anything we needed (grocery store, bars, restaurants, brunch spot lol), and a short UBer to NYC. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Definitely a place that we will see if is available any time we make a trip back to our old stomping grounds!"

"Great place to stay - good central location. Walkable to a lot / good access to subway. Should be flagged that this unit is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator - only stairs. Not an issue, but definitely something to consider if you are traveling with many/heavy bags, or are someone who needs accessibility accommodations. Overall great stay!"
