"We had a fabulous holiday at Mas de la Rivière. The house is spacious and well-equipped and the private and partially shady terrace with its beautiful trees and wisteria-covered outdoor dining space was a godsend on the hottest of days. We enjoyed the beautiful clean pool and after-dinner boules on the floodlit pitch in the garden. Our dog enjoyed swimming in the river Tet next to the house and there are enormous sandy beaches nearby as well as some pretty rockier coves close to the Spanish...

"The address given is not accurate and it took us ages to find, we had to hope that the host read the messages, he then gave us the address. This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

"My wife Jo and I spent a very pleasant ten days at Mas Santol. The gite is very beautiful, in a great location not far from the charming small town of Ceret. We explored the area and also went further afield, to the beach at Le Racoul and into the mountains of Prats-de-Mollo. Martine and Serge were very nice to deal with. "If you want to be remote this is perfect, with shops not far away. Views great, house perfect except heat when we visited, better air con would help. Host Denis very friendly. Outside area ideal, spacious and welcome cool jacuzzi. Thank you Patricia and family"

"We are a group of 8 and just had the most fantastic 2 weeks in this house. Views are spectacular, the house is well equipped and very spacious and the pool was a good size and a nice temperature. All bedrooms open up on to the balcony where you can watch the sun rise & deer grazing on the garden. Buzzards & kites flying over every day. Market at Prades on Tuesday is worth a visit and also Fort Liberia - if you don’t take the 800 steps up then be prepared for a adventurous & very bumpy jeep...
