"Despite only being available for the first night of a weekend break, the lure of staying at the Atholl Palace Hotel couldn't be resisted. We arrived long before we could check in at 3.30pm, so time was spent using the luxury spa facilites and in the bar. We also had a good wander through the wee museum, which was fascinating! The location is peaceful and out of the way but central enough to get to pretty much anywhere in the highlands in an hour or two by car.
