"B&B Ca' Viro was a truly great find. We arrived by bus (from Sondrio train station) which dropped us right outside the front door - all for the measly sum of €2 each. Our room was wonderful and better than expected. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent. The grounds are a sight to see and our room was only 50 metres from a path along the river which provided some great walks. Breakfast the nect morning was amazing!! "We stayed at Cà Rossa for a week. For my wife and I, Cá Rossa was the perfect resort and Claudia and Isaac the best host couple imaginable. The hospitality was unique and we got a lot of recommendations for fantastic walks in Valtellina's vineyards, restaurants, etc. The breakfast, cleaning and the service we experienced was extraordinary. "We paid almost $200 for the room for one night and they put us in a room in the back of the hotel where we had to climb up and down ladders to get to, even though the hotel had a very low occupancy rate. In my opinion, if they ever wanted us to return to their hotel in the future, they could have upgraded our room. On the plus side, they did have a shuttle to take us from and to the train station."

"I am nostalgic for Casa Pasini Foresteria! The hosts are so warm and friendly, the rooms are elegant, comfortable, charming, clean. Tucked in the hillside of Piuro, near Chiavenna, with a beautiful view. Breakfast is a delicious - cappuccino, tea, local pastries and breads, jams, honey, yogurt, fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. Perfection! "

"I stayed 6 days and would book here again but only room 4 or 5. The website is misleading: forget breakfast and do not expect aesthetics. The owners artworks are everywhere! Marco will insist that you squeeze into the tiniest parking space even if the whole lot is empty! In the end, the studio served its purpose....but this is no ‘mansion’: you hear every tiny sound from other rooms. Plastic flowers?"

"This was our third visit and as always everything was impeccable. A tiny bed and breakfast in the heart of Chiavenna that out performs some of the bigger hotels in the area. Beautiful room (No 2) with compact but really attractive shower room, coffee making machine and fridge. Easy check in and personalised breakfast order taken. "My wife and I were on our way to Bolzano, and fortunately found this place, secluded up the mountainside. Our hosts were gracious and very accommodating. The views of the valley below were breathtaking. We drove the 1 chilometer to the old church up the hill, and also we went to the little church at the top of the mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place!"

"This place is about 20 minutes from city center, not far from the lake. There is a Lidi supermarket at the ground floor. Watch out - the room lacks some of the basic necessities, not even a box of tissues. The electric stove does not work in the room, so we just eat out. We have been to a few different hotels and apartments in Switzerland during our trip. so far this is the worst place we have been to. "

"Absolute lovely home, great stay.Positives: washer and dryer, elevator, off street garage parking, easy walk to the slopes, great water pressure. Location was not too busy, but a short drive from places.Negatives: not many pillows, and I wish some cleaning supplies (spray for counters/tables at least) were available so we could keep the place tidy without having to buy all our own cleaning supplies to just leave behind.Overall- would stay again! It's situated directly across the lake from the train station with great walks starting just along the street. It wasn't so good on the little things that you would normally expect; no hand soap, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, tea, coffee, etc. Personally, given that it came with a kitchen, I would expect a few basics items such as condiments and paper towels.
