Nice convenient clean hotel. I hate how you have to wear a wristband as a hotel guest. It’s in all my pictures. Breakfast is good. Towels are old and dirty. Ants in my bed.

First time staying in a hostel, and overall the experience was great! Never thought I would stay in a hostel. The lights did go out a couple times while I was in the the shower, and on my last day I saw one roach. Very minor but again cool stay

La Casa Movida Hostal est un endroit fort sympathique et parfaitement bien situé afin d’explorer Cartagena à pieds. L’accueil y est excellent et le rapport qualité prix est difficile à battre. Le restaurant italien à même l’auberge sert aussi de très bons plats à prix raisonnable (pour Cartagena).

This place wasn’t 5 star living but I would definitely stay here again based off value. Pizza spot in the lobby was absolutely amazing. Probably some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Only thing is it’s a hostel so you need to take a shower sooner than later to still have hot water.

De verdad un hostal muy lindo , la recepcionista muy amable y atenta , en general todo el personal es amable . Yo estuve muy agusto . Ubicación perfecta en el centro de Cartagena todo te queda caminando . Hay alberca , agua caliente , aire acondicionado y de verdad todos son muy atentos y amables . Es la primera vez que estoy en hostal y quedé muy contenta . Pagué menos de 15 dólares por noche . Muy económico y muy a gusto . En cuanto a la limpieza todo está súper bien , tienen que tomar en cuenta que está arriba de una pizzería que por cierto es muy rico pero por el precio pueden ir a otras opciones ya que una cuenta es entre 25 y 30 dólares una persona. De verdad vale mucho la pena este hostal . Saludos a la perrita zoe no sé si sea del “dueño” o si es el dueño el chico pero que lindo es y la perrita no se diga . Súper educada . Seguro si regreso es ª este hostal 🌸🌸🌸

Location is good, everything is near by. Almost all of the staff not helpful, not attentive, didn’t give clear information. The men were were more attentive. Received an email from the hotel regarding our check inn indicating that image of our passports was needed, so we didn’t bring them and it was requested, so we had to take an Uber back and forth to get our passports invested time and money, no apologies for this inconvenient we’re given. At breakfast the food safety of the cook was not proper and the service as well not adequate. At the roof top were given wrong information and when we asked if we could bring drinks from the fridge of the hotel they never came back with an asset. Our room on the first night of the stay the bed was not made, and only one roll of toilet paper was in the room, the sink didn’t work well, and the soap of the bathtub was only water. And in the room there was no trash can. The minifridge was great as well as the prices.

Nice Place No Frills

We had a single room to ourselves and cannot comment on the dorms. Others have stated the place is a little run down. It is. But it’s still nice. And our room was clean, no frills, and had an excellent A/C. It’s a hostel, not a 5 star boutique hotel. It was great for what we needed. The room was quiet. The whole place was quiet despite it being the holiday season and the whole of Bogota being at the coast for vacation. The pool is small. It’s not intended for laps. Be glad there is a pool at all in a hostel in Cartagena. It was clean and refreshing after a very hot day exploring the city. Another post mentioned it closing at 8PM. We were there well past that and were not asked to leave. We were very quiet. Not a large crowd. And we were not drinking or eating by the pool. Maybe that is why? The hostel is close to all the parts of the city that most visitors come to see. The clock tower, the port to catch a boat to the islands, Getsemani, and the museums of gold and the inquisiton. There are many places to eat and shop nearby as well. We felt safe the whole time. The city was very busy. People are helpful and the police were vigilant. There is no hot water. Not because there was something wrong. It is just a fact for most habitations along the coast of Colombia. The weather is such that you don’t really need a hot shower anyways.
