Lockville Canal Park is a 7 acre green space that contains three intact locks that once made up part of the central section of the Ohio and Erie Canal, a 308-mile highway of water that connected Lake Erie at Cleveland to the Ohio River at Portsmouth.

Construction on the locks began on July 4th, 1825 and took over seven years to complete. The canal system propelled Ohio's economy from last in the nation to nearly first in just a few years.

Has a row boat, paddle boards, fire pit outside, kids loved all that there was to do at the house so much that we had to drag them out to go hiking. I caught a little blue gill in the pond and it made my sons day he had never seen me actually catch a fish before lol"

"We just spent two nights at this property. 4 of us were in town for a Dance Competition at the Convention Center. We were never anymore than about ten minutes from the Center and all the restaurants we wanted to visit. Less than 5 minutes from the awesome Book Loft. Plenty of parking right in front. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. The home was very clean and comfortable. Two adults and two teens had plenty of room. Literary themed with lots of classic touches throughout the home. The owner...

"We had a great weekend stay at this house. The house was very easily accessible from the main highway and not far from the city center. The garage was an added bonus, especially since we had frost in the morning. The outdoor space was very appealing also, however time constraints and the colder temperature prevented us from taking advantage of it. The house was spacious and well stocked with amenities. You do not always get that lucky with rentals. The property owners have went above and beyond making this a bright & fun space for travelers to enjoy. "We did a Girlfriend trip and there was 10 of us. There was plenty of room for all of us. The cabin was very clean. Two full bathrooms were plenty for 10 women. No problems at all. Highly recommend "

"Overall this was a very nice home to stay in. Everything you need was provided. The hot tub was definitely nice after a day out hiking. The driving distance to the state park was about 15 minutes. We enjoyed watching a movie on youtube at the end of the night on the big tv in the common space. Would recommend staying here!"

"A couple of friends and I stayed in the Hocking Hills Hideaway for a few days while im town for our friend's wedding. We were a part of the bridal party, and we had a lot to do to support the bride! It was always a breath of fresh air to come back to this B&B, we could truely relax here. The property manager was verys kind and quick to reply to questions."

"Great place with tons of room! 3 floors with a full bathroom on each floor. Decorated all in Buckeye/OSU and was just overall a great experience! If I had to be overly picky, if you have more than two cars, you’ll need to pay for parking for the extra vehicles. It’s typically free from 10pm-6am and on Sundays. We had an extra vehicle and only paid abou 10 extra so no big deal. Already booked for a couple of more stays! "

Only complaint is that the address on the site showed the address as 174 East Long St. and it is actually WEST Long St. This made a big difference in our ability to walk to the concert we were attending.
