Embrace life on the lake in this cozy cottage, just steps away from all sports Paradise Lake.

This beautiful vacation rental offers quick access to bonfires, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, boating and dining.

-The Space-

Our family cottage has been totally remodeled. The 575 sqft space, offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, with an open concept living room and kitchen for easy cooking and socializing.

The interior of the cottage is beautiful pine planking with cathedral ceilings and plenty of windows for optimal sunshine. Facing the lake is a sunroom (my favorite space), perfect for watching the sunset and sipping your morning coffee while enjoying the sunrise.

Don't feel like cooking? No biggie! Less than a half mile away is Harbor Lights Grille, situated on the lake, enjoy your farm to table meal looking out over the pristine water and watching the boats go by.

A stones throw away from Harbor Lights Grille is Clyde's. Clyde's is famous for it's burgers and wings and is timeless with a small town feel. It's where the locals go to unwind and have a cold beer.

Mackinac City is just a 5 minute drive which boasts many different restaurants, enjoy dining on anything from Italian to Thai cuisine.

Leggs Inn is an iconic Northern Michigan destination. Enjoy the scenic views and authentic Polish Cuisine. Located just 20 minutes from the cottage.

Cozy Cottage by the Lake
We loved the small cozy cottage by the lake. We received a complimentary bottle of wine, the view was beautiful, the cottage was clean and close to Mackinaw City and the ferry to the Island. There was so much to do and we had an amazing time!

Quaint and peaceful
Thank you for a lovely, clean, quaint cottage on the lake. The sunroom was my favorite spot. I enjoyed watching all the ducks fly and swim by. It is a beautiful lake and wonderful place to stay. Ruth is very thoughtful.

Perfect location
This cottage is in a perfect location for multiple day trips including Mackinac Island, Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, Wilderness State Park to name a few. Quiet neighborhood that offered a nice evening on the patio next to the lake to relax and refresh.

Great Location
We enjoyed an outstanding stay at Ruth's cottage and as a host she is amazing. The location on an inland lake just outside Mackinaw City was perfect given the variety of activities available in this part of the State. We'll be back!

Great escape from the city
This was the perfect little place for our family of 3. Our 9 year old spent the week fishing off the dock and playing with the neighbors dog Trip! The area is so quiet and peaceful. The home was clean, had everything we could have needed and updated more than most of the available rentals in the area. Walking distance to restaurant and Chubbs bait shop. Short drive into town to walk Mackinaw City. We are grateful for a week in Ruth’s Paradise!

A beautiful week in paradise!
We had a lovely stay at Ruth’s lakefront cottage. We received a complimentary bottle of wine, the view was beautiful, the cottage was clean, and the neighbors were friendly. We were only 10 minutes from Mackinaw city. There was so much to do and we had an amazing time!

Cozy cabin
Very comfortable beds and pillows. This cabin met all our needs and is well-located to get up to Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, the U.P., over to Legg's, Petosky, Spring Harbor, etc. Renting a boat from Chubbs Marina was convenient and easy. I was even able to get my fishing license there when I couldn't fit it in before vaca.

Perfect cozy cabin
Our family loved this cabin! It was clean and came equipped with all we needed for the kitchen, bedding, towels, etc... our kids loved the bunk bed and the mattresses were the perfect combo of firm yet cozy. Being right there to see the lake each day made our get away all the more memorable. I recommend this cabin if you want to make memories to last a lifetime 💕

Cozy Cottage
We were delighted at the size of the cottage and with the location- just steps to the lake. The furnishings were comfortable and clean. The internet was reliable. Wonderful getaway
This cottage is homey and relaxing. It was quiet which was great after all the holiday hubbub. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The property owner responded to all my messages promptly. Nice Time
We had a great week at the cottage. Everything was clean; pictures online are accurate. Lake and area very quiet. We found lots to do in the surrounding area...Petoskey shopping, Mackinac City and Island. Fun time at the Garlyn Zoo and Deer Ranch...even the teens had fun. Also had a nice day and picnic at the beach/sand dunes near St. Ignace.

Cute and Cozy Up North Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our time away at this lovely little cottage on Paradise Lake/Carp Lake. Very clean and very comfortable (I even contacted the owner to find out where she bought her pillows--loved them!) Would totally stay here again when we plan our next Up North vacation! P.S. The neighbors (Julie, Fred, and their dog Tripp) are awesome! 😊

Fabulous cottage in Carp Lake
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It had everything that we needed. It was right on the lake so very easy for us to put our kayaks in the water. It was very close to Lake Michigan and wonderful hiking trails in Wilderness State Park. Also was very close to Mackinaw City which we had fun exploring. The owner was very friendly and very helpful and answered all our questions. She was very nice to work with. This property is a must stay at place and we hope to stay at it again soon.

The Cottage
Very pleased with the rental, cleanliness, having Roku Tv was great, nice boat dock worked well for our bass boat plan to return next year....but I will bring a big coffee cup. Corelle is nice but I need a mug of coffee😀

Cozy cottage on a peaceful lake!
We had a great time! We were sad to see our vacation come to an end! Anyone would enjoy their time spent at this updated cozy cottage! We sure did! Wonderful little space
This cottage is just wonderful, sure it may seem small but it’s so cozy and well laid out. Meets all your needs and then some! Beautiful views right off the back porch and it’s so clean and up-kept so well. The property owner was wonderful to work with and so responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend if you’re up this way and need a comfortable place to be. Thank you! We will visit again!

Amazing!
We had a great time at this cottage! The proximity to the lake is exceptional. The towels and bedding were of great quality. The house was clean and all essential supplies were there in abundance. The cottage was super close to Mackinaw City and we went into town every day. The communication was superb the best I have ever experienced. She kept us updated on ice conditions and great places we could visit if we weren't able to get out on the ice. We were able to ice fish but also visited the recommended sites and had a great time exploring in and around Mackinaw. We are hoping to come again in the Summer!

Wonderful winter weekend getaway
We had hoped to see the Northern Lights at Headlands, but maybe didn't do enough research. We are from Virginia and I went with the mindset that even if we couldn't see the lights, it would still be interesting and different -which it was! The house is the perfect size for a couple or small family. Clearly this is a summer destination but winter was fun too. There was an ice fishing tournament right out the front door! Ruth was a fantastic hostess - extremely prompt with her communication and very accommodating. I highly recommend this wonderful, cozy cabin. Thank you Ruth!
