The house consists of 2 townhouses which can be rented out separately (VRBO 951371 and 1311864). The top and middle ocean front decks are now open (meaning there is removable deck dividers between each side) allowing a continuous 32 ft wide deck for family gatherings.

Great location and set up for large groups
We love our stay at this house. We invited both of our families and needed a place large enough to accommodate everyone. This was perfect. It was nice to be right on the beach but have the option to use the pool as the water was a little rough when we were there. TWe walked to the boardwalk

Overall a wonderful place
We had 18 people and had both houses . Plenty of room for all. The one thing I did not like is the number of beach chairs . They were more like camping chairs . Had i known I would of brought some of my own . Overall we had a wonderful time . Thank you

Family Beach Vacation
Sandy Dunes was very accommodating for our family of 20+. The property had plenty of room is located right off the beach and the private pool was a wonderful addition. Property manager was very receptive and and accommodating to any potential needs! My family member all loved the location. I would definitely recommend Sandy Dunes for a large family vacation destination.

We were disappointed that the two living spaces in the duplex where not on the same level. The storage areas on the ground floors needed to be cleaned out. There was a lot of accumulated junk.

Perfect Getaway!
From start to finish this home exceeded expectations. There was plenty of space to spread out but also perfect areas to spend time together. Amazing views and all the amenities you could ask for. Would definitely book this home again!

Family birthday celebration
We loved the location of the property, right on the beach. There were plenty of bedrooms, with comfortable beds. It did take a while to figure out the layout, since we had both sides of the house. Our only complaints are about the kitchens, mainly the appliances. Both stoves were very hard to regulate and caused a lot of smoke when the ovens were on high. In fact, when we tried to clean the oven on the north side it smoked so much that it set off the smoke detector. The wine cooler on one side is non-functioning and the freezer in the refrigerator in the north unit is badly in need of defrosting.

Beautiful views
We stayed here with our wedding party and family the weekend of our wedding as we live out of state. The property was clean and well taken care of. My only complaint is that there are 2 elevators advertised as a benefit to the home. I’m not sure why they didn’t work all weekend but it was inconvenient for my older family members who struggle to get up and down stairs. Also, we’re not sure why the shower water was only luke warm but it never actually got hot enough to be able to enjoy your shower. Other then that the views are gorgeous, the house is beautiful, and it’s worth the stay. We had more then enough room for everyone. The pool and private board walk were extremely nice. We’d recommend staying here.

Great place to stay
Great beach and the pool was a nice plus for days when the red flags were out. The board walk is in walking distance and the older kids enjoyed the few rides. If you rent both sides of the condo you need to use the balconies to get from one side to the other. The kitchen and family room on the south side are a great gathering place.

We had a Cousin's Reunion here and the property was absolutely wonderful. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, relax and enjoy. The views were amazing and the closeness to the ocean was wonderful. If we had any questions, Jessica and Justus were quick to answer and provide guidance. It was an amazing and memorable time. We will definitely rent from them again!!

Great place to gather at the beach!
We really enjoyed our stay at this big beach front home. Lots of room to spread out, and we had everything we needed for our family gathering. We loved the close proximity to the beach, and having a pool option as well! One of the elevators was not working during our stay, but that was only a minor inconvenience. If you're bringing a big group to Carolina Beach this is definitely a place worth considering.

Fabulous house for our crowd with Fabulous View
Sandy Dunes was a great place to hold our family reunion of 17. It was spacious, very clean, and the view and sound of the ocean was fantastic. We rented the complete unit with 10 bedrooms, 10 baths, and 2 kitchens stocked with place settings for 24+, pots, pans, even a crock pot! You just need to bring food and start having fun.

So few Supplies.
5 siblings got together for a family wedding which included adult children. We all jave traveled extendively and have never experienced a rental with so few supplies provided. If you are a house on the beach you would think to supply beach towels. We made many trips to local stores to buy beach towels, garbage bags, dish soap and many other extras. There were no instructions given for recycling which was a shame. There were a few bathrooms with no garbage cans. We were all surprised that we had to make our own beds.

Sandy Dunes North & South
This is our 10th year visiting Carolina Beach and we had a fabulous mini reunion experience! The double property was well appointed and allowed us to sleep as well as prepare and enjoy meals for 16 without bumping into each other. Although we encountered a few hiccups along the way with the AC & cable, Jessica and Justice were extremely responsive. We will book again.
