A holiday barn in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB - coast, lakes and fells!

This lovely holiday home offers spacious, luxury accommodation comprised of three reception rooms and three bedrooms. Bedroom room 1 is a king size master bedroom with en-suite shower room, bedroom 2 is also a king size room and bedroom 3 is a delightful twin bedded room. Additional sleeping may be provided on a double sofa bed in the sunroom. In addition to the en-suite shower room there is a separate, newly refurbished family bathroom.
Living rooms comprise of a breakfast kitchen, with integrated appliances (double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine) dining room with extending table to seat up to eight guests, lounge and sunroom. In addition there is a downstairs cloakroom.
The property has broadband facilities, with television to the lounge, sunroom and kitchen. DVD players are available in the lounge and sunroom.
The property has a delightful, secluded courtyard garden with outdoor seating available for al fresco dining.
The property is directly opposite the local Primary School with the play spaces available to use outside of school hours. The excellent local play park will also keep children happy.
The Stables is ideally placed in the centre of Warton, a village with connections to George Washington, two public houses serving real ale and home-cooked food, an independent micro brewery and the Warton Crag which is perfect for walks and to see glorious coastal views.
Five minutes down the road is Carnforth (with its railway station of Brief Encounter fame) where there is a range of supermarkets and various independent shops.
The property is ideally placed to visit The Lake District (30 minute drive to Lake Windermere), The Yorkshire Dales, Blackpool, and any number of small local towns or of course to just relax at The Stables.

Fantastic spot for our family - lots of space
We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here. We loved the 3 bedrooms and sunroom. Situated in the old part of town was great!

Comfortable, spacious house in lovely location
The house is large and well equipped. It is clean and comfortable in a lovely location. We had a great few days exploring the Carnforth 'Brief Encounter' station and our drive to the Lakes for the Wordsworths' cottage was spectacular.

Great property
Really enjoyed our week at the Stables. House had pretty much everything we needed, lovely village (I'd recommend Old School Brewery for a couple of pints). Great walks on the doorstep, and a short drive to the coast or the south Lakes. I'd recommend for families or a group of friends, the property is much larger than I thought it was from the photos!

Lovely holiday property
Large holiday home with all the facilities needed for self catering. Always warm to come back to which we needed for our stay in January. The owner was very helpful. Excellent location and very handy for well signed walks and RSPB Leighton Moss. Would definitely recommend The George Washington for a meal but need to book.

Lovely spacious property with everything you need
We hired this cottage for our relatives for a wedding; we did not actually stay there ourselves, although Anne, who lives across the road, was kind enough to show us round. Communication throughout was excellent and our family really enjoyed their stay.

The cottage was spotless and well equipped. The photographs do not do it justice as it is much bigger than appears in the photos. The kitchen has a full sized freezer and fridge. Would stay here again if in the area.

Exactly as described but actually larger than expected. The enclosed patio area was great for socialising. Warton is a really interesting village which is worth a visit in its own right.

Another fantastic stay at The Stables
A brilliant week exploring the South Lakes & The Dales. Property is perfect for our family of 6, with the added bonus of the sun room providing our teenager with his own space. The playground opposite is a welcome addition, as well as the school parking during the school holidays. Rachael was super helpful with queries. We have been here twice and really do highly recommend.

The homes was better than anticipated
My only complaint for was that if you don’t have a car it is very hard to get around the area. The walk to Carnforth for breakfast was 30 minutes but it was easy to get there. The house was comfortable, clean and roomy! It had everything we needed.

Staying to play board games and a few walks. Plenty of space in house for some board games and to take a break if needed. Well equipped kitchen. There were four of us staying, but it could easily have coped with the 7 max that the listing showed

Lovely home in a quaint but convenient village
We enjoyed our short stay in this lovely, well renovated home. Beautiful garden, comfortable beds, modern well-appointed bathrooms. The village is a short drive off of the highway so convenient to get to and from. Easy walk to the two pubs in town. We had a very good meal at the Malt Shovel Inn. The driveway is tight for a larger vehicle, so we parked out on the main street sometimes. Everything works, except we had trouble figuring out how to lock the back door.

We booked this cottage for four people, but unfortunately two days before our arrival date, two of us contracted the virus, and therefore had to self isolate. It was booked in my name, so the review has come to me. The other couple said the property was excellent, but I can't give any specifics as we didn't go.

So much space inside (three loos!) and beautiful scenery
Everything was great. Really comfy, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Location itself was perfect for us as visiting friends locally and wanted to also visit Lakes. Walk to carnforth shops across the fields only took twenty minutes. George Washington and old school brewery both nice in different ways too. Lancashire coastal path and warton crag beautiful and can be reached on foot too. Only downside was parking (as I'm not very good at it!) and couldn't confidently manage the turn.

Loved the house and village but wished we had been made aware of the width of the drive as our car would not fit on the drive so had to park up the road so we could access the car during the weekend as school car park ensured we could not leave the car park until lunchtime

Family-Friendly Accommodation We spent a wonderful few weeks in this spacious and lovely holiday flat. It’s a perfect base for exploring the Lake District and the surrounding area. The village itself has two great pubs, and in Carnforth, we were able to find everything we needed for our daily essentials.
