Welcome to your home away from home in Carlsbad! We are proud to provide our guests with a home that is comfortable, beautiful, spacious and exceptionally clean.

Our favorite part of hosting is providing a place for you to make beautiful memories with family & friends that will last a lifetime.

***Please note: All guests must honor quiet hours from 10pm to 8am, and be respectful to our house & our neighbors.***

Less than a mile from the beach, and only 3 miles from Legoland, this Olde Carlsbad gem is the perfect place for family and friends to call their home away from home. Groceries are a short one-minute walk, and Starbucks, Leucadia Pizza, and the Village Pie Shop are less than a 5-minute walk from our home.

Full details of each of the spaces are listed below. All rooms with televisions include access to Hulu+ Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+ as well as Amazon Prime Video. The home also has central air conditioning (rare for Carlsbad!) and heating. And almost every room in the house has a ceiling fan to keep you cool and comfortable.

Fast, free WiFi is included in the home.

There is a brand new bank of EV chargers (EVgo) located just steps from our home in the Vons parking lot.

The Living Room:
The living room has beautiful bay windows, a large 65" Smart HD TV, blue ray DVD player and gas fireplace.

Dining Room/Kitchen:
There is a huge table with room enough for 8-10 people, and a sliding glass door to let in the cool ocean breezes. The kitchen is oversized with plenty of what you need to cook for everyone at home.

Backyard:
There is a large patio table with room for 8 people cooled by an overhead fan. The jacuzzi has enough room for 6 adults, with color changing LED lights, waterfall feature and plenty of jets. The outdoor fire pit is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine at night, or make s'mores (with or without the kids!). There is also a large gas BBQ for outdoor grilling. The backyard retreat lights up at night with cafe lights throughout. A water fountain provides for the soothing sounds of running water. And there is a surfboard shower for a whimsical and warm rinse after a day at the beach!

Front Yard:
There are adirondack chairs for enjoying the Carlsbad breezes, and a small lawn for the kids to enjoy as well.

Rooms:
The largest en-suite bedroom is downstairs, and includes a King size bed and attached bathroom with private shower. There is a 32" HD TV and beautiful French doors with private access to the patio.

The game room includes a queen sleeper sofa, 49" flat screen HD TV, Playstation 3 and games, many popular DVDs and board games for everyone. It is separated from the downstairs master suite by barn doors. The barn doors do not lock, but do create privacy between the two spaces. We also provide a queen-sized Aerobed.

The upstairs en-suite bedroom has a queen bed and attached bathroom with private shower. There is an 32" HD TV.

The 3rd bedroom (upstairs) has a queen bed and 32" HD TV.

The 4th bedroom (upstairs) has two twin beds (and even an extra trundle bed) and kid friendly décor.

There is a 3rd bathroom in the upstairs hallway with a full tub/shower.

Proximity:
• 3/4 mile to beautiful Tamarack State beach
• 1/4 mile to Agua Hedionda Lagoon, where you can enjoy water sports like jet skiing, water skiing, and wakeboarding. Or you can venture to the quieter side and peacefully paddleboard and kayak.
• 3 miles from Legoland
• Convenient and close proximity to Carlsbad Village, Carlsbad Premium Outlets and the Carlsbad Flower Fields
• Golfing, dining and shopping are also close by
• The Oceanside pier and harbor are a 10-minute drive north, and the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, San Diego Airport and more are approx. 30 minutes South
• Within immediate walking distance are a grocery store, drugstore, Leucadia Pizzeria, Starbucks and the Village Pie Shop.

Beach home close to everything for a great vacation.
Great home for family gathering with spacious dining room and kitchen. Game room and everything needed for fun at the beach. The hot tub was perfect for after ocean activities. Lots of other activies nearby too.

This is a great place to stay! It is walking distance from the beach, grocery store and in a nice neighborhood. The fenced backyard was perfect for my young grandkids. The owners are very nice and the place was very relaxing and in very good condition. I highly recommend it!

This is a very comfortable house with all one needs to have a relaxing stay. The host is responsive to any needs that arise and the location is quite good, especially since the 1/2 mile walk to the beach is not an issue for families with older children. Family Vacation
Our family of 9 stayed at this home for a long weekend at the beach. The home is very clean and well stocked with anything you need for family dinners or trips to the beach. The location is great for access to the freeway and the beach. The owners were very quick to respond to questions we had and were very accommodating. We loved our stay and would visit again!

Great house, great location!
This was a fantastic house in a great location and wonderful hosts! We ate fruit from the trees, enjoyed the hot tub and spacious, inviting backyard! The house was fully stocked and whatever we needed was across the street at Von's. Village Pie Shop was excellent as well! Would definitely recommend this home for your vacation!

Great/Clean place to stay
We were in town for a friends wedding and found this lovely home to stay while in Carlsbad! It was perfect for the 6 of us (3 couples). Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom and the house was very clean. It’s within walking distance to the beach and a Vons right across the street. We would highly recommend this home for a small group of people to enjoy the California coast!

We were amazed at how well stocked this home was. The location was superb. The yard was well kept, safe and a joy for our little ones. Loved the outdoor shower after the beach. Walking across the street to Vons was awesome. Everything about this home was delightful and we will return.

Loved Carlsbad
We stayed a month. All September. We found the Carlsbad village and beach to be fun and filled with things to do. The inland Carlsbad is impressive with gorgeous neighborhoods and clean industry and very good shopping. The rental home needs upgrading primarily for seating outside. The owner was a delight to work with. The biggest feedback is the location of the home. It's very noisy with street and train noise. It is not an area that is easily walked as sidewalks are in consistent and even though there are signs everywhere stating "slow down Carlsbad", the fast traffic was everywhere. Green spaces had to be discovered by car.

The Perfect Getaway
This is wonderful property, plenty of room, close to everything. We often rent vacation properties. This was the cleanest of all. I can’t say enough great things about the homeowner, Heather. She was extremely helpful and responsive. The house is spacious and fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the private backyard. The kids enjoyed the space and the adults loved the hot tub. We will be back!

Family Time in Carlsbad
We had a wonderful experience at this well kept home in a great location. Plenty of space to gather together inside and out. Beautifully designed yard and quiet neighborhood that felt safe at all times. Multiple games found for kiddos in the office/guest room, beach toys/supplies in garage and corn hole for all in yard. Jacuzzi was a huge hit! Heather was so responsive to questions before and throughout our stay. Make sure you check out the Village Pie Shoppe and Leucadia Pizza, both a short walk away. This home is a gem, as are the hosts. Thank you for sharing your cozy home.

So convenient!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this home. It was easy to get to and convenient for everywhere we wanted to go. The hosts were very responsive when we had a little problem with the TV during the Super Bowl. The house had everything you can imagine you would need. We have to say everyone we encountered during our trip (grocery store, restaurants, visiting the MidWay Aircraft Carrier) we all so upbeat and happy. What a joyful trip.

Great Family Rental
Our family of six stayed here for a week and were very comfortable. Our four kids all stayed in the 3 bedrooms upstairs, which worked out very well for us. Our daughter appreciated having her own bathroom attached to her bedroom. We all enjoyed the hot tub in the yard, which was easy to use and convenient to the downstairs bedroom. We used the PS3, board games, kids books, and beach supplies, which were all in very good shape. The location is great for visits to Carlsbad and anywhere in the San Diego area. Heather was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location and very clean!
We were 2 families with a total of 8 people. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the game room and everyone loved the hot tub which was a good size and worked perfectly (we’ve had issues with other hot tub rentals). The grocery right across the street was super easy for last minute items and the short walk to Starbucks in the morning was enjoyable. We also loved the use of the beach wagon and boogie boards. House was well stocked with toiletries, pillows and towels. Backyard fridge was also great storage for extra beverages. Quiet street and private backyard were also a bonus.

Perfect for Kids, Amazing Yard and Great Hosts
Our stay at Casa Azul was very wonderful! We had 3 small infants and 4 year old with us and the house was perfectly suited. Additionally, the adults could all enjoy the common spaces in the backyard, dining area and living area. Well stocked and plenty of storage space, so things weren't just lying about and lots of beach gear. The town of Carlsbad was adorable and the close proximity to Legoland was plus. We were also able to enjoy the flower festival in Carlsbad which was absolutely georgeous and great for the whole family. The lagoon is short walk and the stores across the street made life so easy and enjoyable for us. Heather was VERY responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend this rental!
