This is a good hotel. They've renovated it recently and it's located in a part of town with much walkability. I've ranked it a little lower than I might because 1) the mattress was too soft for me (but that's just me) and 2) for some reason, the sheets made me feel itchy. No bugs, mind you! Perhaps the detergent they used, although I'm usually not sensitive.

Great place to stay! Clean & Comfortable!

The rooms were very clean. The beds were SO comfortable! The front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful! The location is very convenient as well. Will definitely stay again when in the area!

We had to change rooms 3 times due to squealing air conditioners, then the tv in the third room stopped working! The staff was helpful, the room was spotless, and the location was safe!

I was surprised how clean and bright was the room. Very comfortable. Only a block to the main street and able to walk around downtown. A few minute drive to Albertson's grocery store. Convenient location for doing things in town and driving to Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

Average at best, staff not experienced.

Check-in was a very confusing. The hotel had me checked in the previous day of my reservation, and someone was already in my room. However, I was accommodated with a room. Extending my stay was attempted by a staff member who obviously had no business behind the desk. Couldn’t answer any questions and only response was “That’s just how they do it.” Who is they? You’re at the desk! It was extremely inadequate. However, the room was good. Spacious somewhat clean. Cleaning staff wasn’t very thorough and inconsistent. I’d say overall 5/10.
