(Lic# BLRE1237172) Waking up and going to sleep to the sights and smells of the ocean is a truly wonderful experience that you'll want to do over and over again. You can do just that when you stay at this beautiful Carlsbad home. This fabulous space was remodeled from floor-to-ceiling in April 2013. From the stainless steel appliances and hand-scraped European oak floors to the hi-def TVs and designer furnishings, everything was carefully chosen to allow for maximum convenience and style. A full-size washer and dryer are on the premises and available for use. We also recently added a Ms. Pac-Man table arcade machine that will certainly provide hours of entertainment. You'll be in for a fantastic night's sleep as all three bedrooms feature pillow-top mattresses with fine quality linens and blackout shades. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, spices, plates, and cutlery so you can whip up a variety of meals.

A grocery store is located close by, but if you're not up for cooking, there are some incredible restaurants that are just a short drive from your front door. One of Carlsbad's most lovely beaches is just a short walk down the road, so feel free to grab a good book and a towel and head over to see what makes it so special.

For your convenience, we provide boogie boards, chairs, coolers, toys, and more so you won't have to worry about a thing. Bath towels and beach towels are also provided. While there is plenty of seating in the home, outside you'll also find a large patio with rocking chairs as well as a picnic table at which you can eat your meals. There's also a working gas fire ring that you can enjoy once the sun goes down. Did we mention the unobstructed ocean views.

As beautiful as the rental is, you'll love getting out and enjoying the area as you're only minutes from numerous activities and nightlife options. Tamarack State beach access is a short walk away, and a 15-minute drive will take you to LEGOLAND, San Diego Botanic Garden, Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club, Rancho Carlsbad Golf Club, Hosp Grove Park, and Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Within about a one-hour drive you'll find Sea World, Del Mar Racetrack, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, casinos, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and more. Have any questions? Beautiful views and an amazing location
House was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Beds were comfy and the patio with fire pit was perfect to relax in the evenings. There was an odor in the bathrooms that never went away but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again! Thanks for making our trip memorable!

Came for a wedding in San Marcos. Wanted to be near beach. Wonderful location, views, close to beach. Fun times with the arcade game as well. Very comfortable beds, very spacious. All in all would definitely recommend, and stay again.

Awesome Ocean Views
We were in the area to attend relatives 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration and a Naval change of command ceremony for our nephew. Did not get to spend as much time in Carlsbad as we would have liked but it suited our needs perfectly.

A Week in Paradise!
Location, Location, Location! This is a wonderful property with beautiful views of the ocean. Owners are very nice and have everything you need to get started enjoying your vacation. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, and town. Unit is newly renovated and has everything. The only thing I would recommend is to book two weeks because you won't want to leave!!!!

LOVE this house!
We adored our stay here - we were here for a week and are already picking a week out next year to come back. We rented the bottom unit and it was perfect for a girls weekend. We had 4 adults and were more than comfortable. Everything was spotless, and the house had every thing we could ever have wanted/needed. We had zero issues with finding parking right in front of the house, even on weekends. The patio is incredible, we spent almost all of our time out there. We also love that the same renters have the upstairs unit and we’re hoping to bring more family next time and rent both units. Thank you so much for our incredible stay!

Great SoCal beach getaway
Spent a week here with our family & this was the perfect place for us. Great location with the beach in walking distance and a short bike ride to Carlsbad Village. Loved the morning on the patio with the cool ocean breeze and the view. The rental unit was very well equipped for everything we needed and the accommodations were modern, clean and comfortable. The bikes and beach equipment in the shed were also ideal for the week! Great communication with Kelly leading up to the week and during our stay as well.

Sunny retreat
This well located rental was on a quiet street with a lovely view. Walking to town or the beach was easy. The home is well stocked for guests, very clean, and thoughtfully furnished. There are many windows to open to catch the breeze, and we hardly used the a/c in July. With many fun things to do nearby, and such a comfortable space to come “home” to, we truly felt “in vacation mode.” The ceiling fan in the master bedroom was extremely quiet and super effective. We had a great stay, and we hope to be back.

The owners took great care to make this a comfortable retreat. The bed sizes were great and they were comfortable and had excellent sheets! The kitchen had everything we needed. the bathrooms even had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The location was great too! excellent view and not too busy or noisy. Carlsbad is rad!
Friends were celebrating 60 and 70 year old birthdays. The house accommodated the 6 of us easily. The views are fabulous. The deck is large and fun for a group. The town of Carlsbad offers a lot. There are trails across from the house. The house was very clean, neat and beachy. We will certainly book again!

Great ocean views!
The house is just a block and up the hill from the beach with great views of the lagoon and ocean. If you're willing to jaywalk and head down a little bit of a steep section you can reach the beach in just a couple of minutes. If you prefer to stay on the sidewalk and cross at the crosswalk, more like five to ten. The unit itself is the lower floor of a duplex. The upper floor is available to rent separately. If you have upstairs neighbors for your stay (as we did), you can expect to hear their showers and toilets and footsteps, though it wasn't too loud. That unit presumably has better views, but this one has access to the large and well-equipped front yard and views that aren't shabby. You can also expect to hear the train (as you can expect to anywhere in Carlsbad), which isn't far away, but it didn't bother us. The large common area and the outdoor space are absolutely great. The unit was well equipped, though we were surprised to find only two coffee mugs in a place with three bedrooms. We enjoyed some fresh produce from the raised beds (cherry tomatoes and parsley) and from the grapefruit tree, after the host confirmed that guests are welcome to enjoy the produce. This was a nice touch. The outdoor shower and locking shed for storage in the back make this house a great option for someone who surfs/boogie boards/etc. They have bikes and boogie boards and various beach supplies (including a wheeled wagon for hauling stuff to and fro) available for your use as well. I feel a little silly saying this, but it took me a minute to figure out that the black panel on the door will light up as a touch-screen keypad which I needed to enter the code to get in. A mention of this in the entry instructions would have saved me a brief moment of panic as I tried to figure out how to get in late in the evening. We had an issue that the wifi wasn't working, but a text to the host got that resolved promptly. You can expect a steady stream of cars parking in front of the house while there is daylight. It is a popular spot for dog walkers, surfers, and beachgoers who want to avoid paying to park while they enjoy their activities. It also seems a popular spot for people who drive around for their work to take a break and enjoy the views while having a snack or a nap or a smoke while parked along the street.
