Hosts were wonderful, gave us info on nearby towns, breakfast was amazing, the house is like a museum, 100s of antique irons. Would definitely stay here again.
They are very friendly. Helpful and the breakfast is amazing. They help with ideas of what to do in the area and are available for any questions or needs you might have
Homemade muffins for breakfast every day! Breakfast meals were varied with choices for everyone. Knowledgeable staff made our trip a dream. Highly recommended.
Staff bent over backwards for us!!!!
Very nice bed and breakfast. Location is great. The room was cozy. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very accommodating and the breakfast was delicious! Will be back the next time we are in Caribou.
We liked it all! Kevin and Kate have a wealth of knowledge having lived in the area for over 30 years. Kevin’s unique collection of vintage irons (the inspiration for the name of the charming place) and Kate’s fabulous breakfasts made for a fun and relaxing weekend. Our room was quaint and comfy and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. This was my first trip this far north into Maine but we will definitely plan to be back!
Extra pleasant experience. Host, comfort, and meal are special and they made us feel special. They stock brochures for the attractions to help guests visit interesting sites. Delightful conversation and comfortable rooms. Wonderful place to stay.
Attractively unusual and old-fashioned. The couple that own it, Kate and Kevin, are very gracious and welcoming. Beyond the interesting eccentricities, we had a lovely night sleep and deliscious breakfast filled with interesting conversation. We will stay here anytime we visit the area.
The hospitality is unmatched. They were so nice and sweet, I would go back just for them! Then the inn itself was so unique and cozy! Antique irons on display, the rooms feel so nostalgic and then the breakfast. Great food and service. Coffee, orange juice, milk, sausage, toast, pancakes, and muffins. There is a reason the sign says muffin queen! Truly an amazing experience.
Staff was accommodating and friendly. Good breakfast especially the peanut butter muffins. Wish there had been a couple of comfortable chairs in our room. Interesting collection of old irons and antiques.
Fantastic bed and breakfast. Don't bother staying at the big hotel chains. I frequently come to the area for work and I was routinely going to the big hotel chains. I wasn't happy with my experience and thought I would give Old Iron Inn B&B a try. I was not disappointed. Kevin and Kate are amazing hosts and will go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. I will definitely be back and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a pleasant experience in the area.
What a gem! Rooms full of antiques. Coffee, tea, snacks available 24/7. Choose your breakfast including homemade muffins and breads every morning. Very helpful owners with suggestions of where to go, where to get dinner, and an offer to come get us if we got stuck out in the rain while biking. Where else would that happen!
You can’t go wrong staying at this inn.
This was our first experience booking with Hotels.com. We have always stayed in the local hotels. We were shocked by the current prices of the hotels that had available rooms. We were familiar with the hotels as we had stayed on previous visits to the county and knew the quality of the hotels did not merit a $200 per night stay. We decided to take a chance on this private residence and were pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable, room very clean and breakfast made to order was very good. We will definitely book this again on our next to the county.
