"It's a very nice, old art deco hotel situated close (a couple of blocks) to La Rambla and Catalunya Plaza, the latter of which is a transportation hub, making it an excellent base for exploring Barcelona by foot and metro and for easily getting to and from the airport. They have a rooftop solarium, which we imagine was quite nice, but it was closed at 10 PM when we tended to return to our room, so we didn't see it."

"We enjoyed our two-night stay at Olivia Balmes. The staff are very professional and attentive. The facilities are nice, we did some yoga in the gym. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. "

"Just returned from a brilliant week at the Barcelona Princess. The hotel was very modern and impeccably clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the complimentary water and drinks in the mini bar. The rooftop pool was heated and had amazing views over Barcelona. The location of the hotel was perfect with the shopping mall next door and metro close by, on a direct line to the city centre. There is also a beach only a few minutes walk away. The only aspect of our stay I could fault is that I would have liked more privacy in the bathroom. I'd prefer it to have been completely closed off. "

"From the first welcome at check in to the final drinks served by restaurant staff in the rooftop bar the service by all of the staff couldn’t have been better. The room was clean and spacious, the rooftop pool and bar were great, the restaurant serving breakfast had a great buffet and a la cart options. The location of the hotel was perfect annd only a short walk from the gothic quarter. All in all we had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Thanks!"
