"This is a wonderful place to stay in the Alpuharra. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and incredible views. The couple who runs it are sweet and kind and considerate. We had dinner and breakfast there which was delicious with all fresh local fare. The property has a nice pool overlooking the mountains. There is a 10 min trail down to the town which has good restaurants and lovely shops. Highly recommended! "

"This is a very odd place. Sure it is an old palace but the rooms are in a basement like plant. In the bathroom the hot water took ages and the shover did not work. We were the only guests and therefore they closed the dining-room and the library and half past eight and the only way our was through the emergency door by the kitchen. It is not a recommendable hotel.The surroundings are quit e nice and the park is great, but inside it is not."

"This is an apartment hotel and as such there is quite a lot of self-service i.e. getting luggage to the room etc. The accommodation is spacious, kitchen is well-equipped for European guests. (No kettle for the English) also nothing provided in the way of tea, cofee, washing up liquid so bring your own. Breakfast is a very good buffet selection in lovely surroundings. Liz and Barry who looked after it for the owner, Debbie, were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area giving us great tips on where to eat and beaches to visit. "Breakfast was good but could be a little chaotic at busy times. Would prefer more non-buffet options at lunchtime (the bar does have a small but acceptable menu). Loved the golf, table tennis, chess, entertainment (all free). Rooms were very good & clean. Parking could be a bit tricky to find a space. Not impossible- just could take a while. Staff all very helpful in all areas. Pool areas were good - but outdoor pools were cold (end of May/early June). Overall, good value and somewhere I’d recommend to friends… but probably wouldn’t return because I prefer to visit restaurants outside the hotel rather than all-in experience."
