This small charming spot is steps from Lake Maubuisson.

Cottage is located 200 m from Lake Maubuisson (blue pavilion) and 2.5 km away from the ocean. The exotic exterior decoration and charming interior drew us to La Cabane.
La Cabane offers year-round simple, welcoming and astute comfort.
Interior fittings are brand new and functional. Each area optimizes space.
On the ground floor: living space with dishwasher (plenty of new dishware), console with flat screen TV, Blu-ray player, DVD player, CD, sofa, table, and chairs. Kitchen is equipped with ceramic hobs, refrigerator with freezer compartment, oven, microwave, electric coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and various cooking utensils.
The bathroom includes shower, WC, bath towels, hand towels, bathmats, storage space and more.
Upstairs, the bedrooms meet the highest comfort expectations with quality bedding and abundant storage space. The décor is uncluttered with many wood decorations painted white to create a tranquil atmosphere.
Enjoy in and outdoors with the living area opening on a large wooden terrace, easy to live in, no close neighbours, south-facing, and shaded patio perfect for outdoor lunches. Enjoy the coffee break area near the barbecue, the dining area with large wooden table, double benches and chairs, and the relaxation area with two sun loungers and umbrella.
The terrace is decorated with shells, star fish, anchors and boat floats. The nautical colour scheme includes rusty red and white. Tropical plants make you dream of distant horizons.
Inside this surfer's cottage various amenities are available for your use, including a washing machine, laundry basket and different tools for cleaning and ironing.
Ideally located in a quiet apartment building, La Cabane is only 200 m from the lake and 800 m from the city centre. A parking space is available in front of la Cabane.
The location is ideal for recharge your batteries, enjoying yourself and exploring the area. You are sure to find an escape.
You will not have to travel far to cast off, surf the waves, or cruise Lake Maubuisson and the magnificent Atlantic beaches.

Séjour très agréable
Après avoir apprécié notre séjour l’an passé, nous avons décidé d’emmener nos petits-enfants profiter de Maubuisson. « La cabane » est idéalement située pour un séjour avec des jeunes enfants avec la proximité du lac offrant l’avantage de pouvoir s’y rendre à pied et de pouvoir se baigner sans danger. Après avoir alterné mer à Carcans-plage et lac, les enfants ont finalement préféré le lac, se sentant plus en sécurité qu’à la mer. La proximité des commerces est également très appréciable et les commerçants plutôt sympathiques. Nous remerçions notre hôte de sa patience, de sa gentillesse. De plus elle est à l’écoute de ses locataires demandant à la fin du séjour si nous avons des suggestions pour une éventuelle amélioration. Nous pensons revenir l’an prochain, peut-être même pour une durée plus longue.

Le village de Maubuisson possède de nombreux atouts avec la proximité du lac, de l'océan et des commerces. La maison de vacances "la cabane" est située au calme et proche des commerces. Elle est agréable avec une décoration apaisante. Nous avons été séduits !

Schöne Unterkunft nicht weit vom See
Sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes kleines Ferienhaus! Wir haben in den zwei Wochen mit zwei kleineren Kindern nichts vermisst. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, hübsch eingerichtet, es fehlte tatsächlich mal nichts. Der See ist in Laufweite und perfekt zum Baden mit kleinen Kindern und die Atlantikküste nur wenige Kilometer entfernt. Sehr zu empfehlen! Sehr nette Vermieterin!

Une très charmante cabane idéalement placée
Nous avons passé de très belle semaine de vacances en famille à la cabane. La maison dispose d un emplacement idéal pour découvrir la région sans avoir besoin de voiture. Elle se situe à 300 m de la plage du lac de Maubisson et 10 min à pied du centre de la ville et 20 min de l océan en vélo. La maison est confortable avec tout le matériel nécessaire, un espace extérieur très agréable et une déco soignée. De plus elle se situe dans un lotissement calme et naturel entouré de pins. Nathalie notre hôte nous a accueilli avec beaucoup d intérêt. Elle a pris le temps de nous parler de sa région et nous a apporté de bons conseils sur les activités à faire. En concision : une belle découverte tant sur la maison que sur la région.

Klein, aber fein und in perfekter Lage für Familien mit Kindern!
Wir haben unseren Urlaub mit zwei Kindern (6+8) sehr genossen. Der See ist in Laufreichweite (5-10min) und geht über gefühlt hunderte Meter super flach rein. Diese riesige Badewanne ist optimal für Kinder und Erwachsene. Die Kinder können problemlos plantschen und die Eltern dadurch entspannt am Strand liegen bleiben : ) Wenn es ein wenig wilder zugehen soll, ist das Meer in ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt zu erreichen. Genügend kostenlose Parkplätze stehen am Strand zur Verfügung. Das Haus hat einen tollen Außenbereich in dem wir uns hauptsächlich aufgehalten haben.

Très agréable séjour
"La Cabane" est une très belle location de vacances, sa cour aménagée en terrasse est idéale pour se détendre dans une ambiance reposante. Le cadre de Maubuisson est tout aussi propice à la détente et aux activités de loisirs, la grande proximité de la plage du lac et d'une supérette sont de vrais atouts. Nathalie est une hôte très sympathique et de bon conseil, nous la remercions encore pour la qualité de son accueil !

On a passé quinze jours formidables dans cette petite maison charmante et confortable. Ameublement et déco d‘un goût sur, style marin. Mais surtout la terrasse!! Ombragée et exotique - dès qu‘on y entre par le petit portail en bois , on a l‘impression de laisser le reste du monde derrière soi et d‘entrer dans un univers à part. Geniale Lage, insbesondere für Familien mit (kleinen) Kindern :)
Wunderschöne Aussenterrasse und sehr charmant und liebevoll eingerichtete, kleine Wohnung. Wir hatten 2 Wochen super Wetter, weswegen wir die Terrasse, die Liegestühle und denn Grill optimal nutzen konnten. Sehr gut ausgestattet. Lediglich 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum angenehm warmen Süßwassersee mit sehr flachem und feinen Sandstrand. Für unsere kleinen Schwimmanfänger perfekt. Mit dem Auto zum Atlantik circa 10 Minuten. Tolle Wellen und Surfschulen en masse. Für einen gelungenen Badeurlaub die perfekte Kombination. Zu Fuß entlang der Seepromenade unter Pinien ungefähr 10 Minuten ins Zentrum von Maubuisson. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit fürs Wesentliche ist ca. 5 Minuten entfernt (Spar). Die FeWo liegt am Ende einer Stichstraße, was dem Ganzen eine sehr angenehme, ruhige und private Atmosphäre verleiht. Fazit: Superschöne FeWo mit genialer Lage. Vielen Dank liebe Nathalie!

A well-appointed cabin in a great spot!
La Cabane is only 300 metres from the lake edge - so walkable in 5 minutes - and there is a handy Spar store at the end of the road where you can get your fresh croissants and/or chocolatines for breakfast. The property was very well presented, and Nathalie was very welcoming. It is compact as described (the clue is in the name, after all), but has everything you could require, including spacious outdoor decking where you can always find sun or, if it's too hot, shade - this is where we took all our meals. As a previous reviewer has noted, the only caveat to make is that the stairs may not be suitable for very young children or the elderly as they are quite steep. Maubuisson itself is a beautiful place right on the southern edge of the largest fresh water lake in France and less than 5 miles from the Atlantic. The lake is great for kids (lots of shallow water for splashing about or learning to swim) and there are lots of water activities on offer - paddle boarding, wind surfing, canoeing, sailing etc. The sea is great for surfing (body boards or stand-up) and you can always find plenty of space on the beach, especially if you're prepared to walk beyond the most popular spots. The area is also good for cycling - there may be an absence of hills, but there is an impressive network of well-maintained bike trails through the pine forests - you can bike to the sea without having to go on any roads, for instance, so very family-friendly. We are already missing our regular evening stroll into town along the lake front!

Maison très bien placée près du lac de carcan.
Petite maison très bien placée et suffisante pour une famille de 4 personnes. Elle est décorée avec goût et possède une terrasse ombragée qui permet des repas à l'abris du soleil. Cette location nous a permis de visiter la région grâce aux conseils avisés de la propriétaire (très gentille et attentionnee): la dune du pilat, un domaine viticole, le cap ferret, le phare de cordouan et évidemment de profiter du lac et de l'océan. Cette petite maison douillette avec sa très belle terrasse ensoleillée est située dans un endroit calme en bordure de forêt. On peut tout faire à pied ou à vélo car le lac se trouve à 100m et les commerces à 500m. La propriétaire est très sympa et ne ménage pas ses efforts pour accueillir ses clients dans les meilleures conditions. La maison est très propre, très bien équipée et les lits sont douillets.
