When I arrived I was shocked to find that I booked the wrong dates. Thankfully, the understanding staff found a way so we would have a room for the night. The area is so tranquil; there's a nearby trail that parallels a river. Short distance from the hotel is a boulevard lined with a few shops and a Detroit-style pizza place. The place was built in the early 1900s, so it definitely has an old charm to it. The rooms were clean; bed comfortable; bathroom was clean as well. If I decide to visit Aspen again or Glenwood Springs, I would book a hotel stay here. It is an hour away from Aspen (stayed the night before heading to see Maroon Bells); but the drive wasn't too bad, and the price was reasonable.

Pros - location, views, historical value, cute bar downstairs with awesome bartenders. Cons - this property is old and is literally falling apart. The bed creaked and groaned with every movement. The floor felt soft underneath and we worried about falling through in spaces. The window was stuck. The shower was ancient. The toilet flushed, but weakly. This would be a beautiful and amazing property if the owners spent some money to renovate it.

1. No Microwave, neither in the room, nor in the entire Motel; no fridge as well. 2. Owner was excellent, offered to use their personal Microwave if needed. Overall, Cozy beautiful look & design, good people, less amenities (I hope those were mentioned at the booking time on the Expedia, it was mentioned like a regular motel).
