If you are looking for a special retreat, this is your vacation home! Beautifully appointed mountain lodge sits on 8 acres. Best of both worlds: Feels rural and private, but you're only 10 minutes to Whole Foods. Top of the line finishes throughout. Enjoy the sunsets from the spacious deck and warm yourself by the outdoor fireplace. Massive Mountain views and stunning Mt. Sopris scenes from nearly every room. There are so many fun things to do at this house! Bocci court outside, Billiards room with Foosball table, Pool Table and there is a HOT TUB that fits 8 people next to the outdoor fireplace patio. Also a 2 car garage for you to park if you would like. All linens and cookware are provided. This property has a $500 housekeeping fee that is NOT billed by VRBO. Guests are responsible for paying the housekeeper directly before they check out. See below for more details.

Sleeps 12/Bed Configuration:
Upstairs: Bedroom has 2 Double beds and a full bath (Jet tub).
Main level: Master bedroom features a king bed and spa bathroom (Jet tub and shower).
Lower level: Bedroom has a queen bed and full bath (Shower).
Lower level: Bunk room w/ 2 XL twin-over queen bunk beds (4 beds total) and a full bath (tub/shower).
Main level: Double pull out sofa in main level office (has privacy doors).
Main level: Half bath near kitchen.
This home sleeps 12, but please make sure the bed configuration works for your guests. List above: (for example, 2 full beds are in one bedroom, and 4 people sleep in 2 bunk beds in the one room).

Please Note: Lower Level Bedroom has a pocket door which allows the room to have an en suite when closed. Or if pocket door is open then the bathroom can be used by billiard room.

Cleaning Fee: $500 (Non-negotiable N/N) The cleaning fee for this property is not reflected in any emails generated by VRBO. Cleaning fee must be left in the home upon departure. For cleaning fee information, please refer to the actual rental agreement that you will be signing.

Outdoor Fireplace:
Wood for the outdoor fireplace is the responsibility of the guest. Wood will NOT be provided.

Transportation/RV's: The gravel road and the driveway to the house are plowed when it snows, however, a 4 wheel drive car is required for winter rental guests. RV's can not access the home due to a long narrow driveway.

Events: NO Events are allowed at this home due to the HOA rules.

Rental Agreement/Booking: A rental agreement will be sent to you after your booking has been reviewed. Your booking can be cancelled at anytime due to none payment, dates overlapping with another guest that were not listed on VRBO's calendar or if the Rental Agreement and Broker Disclosure forms that will be sent to you have not been signed. Signed agreements must be signed no later than 72 hours after they have been sent.

Great spot for a family getaway (wedding weekend!)
We stayed here with both sides of our family during our wedding weekend! The wedding took place in Aspen, and we wanted to find a place that could accommodate our group of 10 guests. The house was spacious enough for everyone to have their own space, and included lots of room for full-group meals and activities. I would highly recommend the house to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with their family or friends.

Luxury Home & Beautiful Location
Our group of 12 adults enjoyed our stay near Aspen in this luxury home. Beautifully situated on many acres of land with gorgeous views; quite private. High quality furnishings and beds. Large basement game room with pool table, foosball, bar, outdoor hot tub, large dining table, huge kitchen, large great room with beautiful views. Also, indoor garage parking, important in winter, and a large 'mudroom' for ski equipment and laundry before entering the home after a day outside. Recommend this property highly, particuarly for groups!

Great place for a large group
What a great house! Lots of space, private bathrooms for each bedroom, and the view off the deck is the best. The kitchen was great for cooking for large groups, hot tub was very enjoyable. Couldn’t use the outdoor fireplace, but it would have been great in the evenings. Good communication with the property manager. All in all, a wonderful week with four families.

Amazing property with stunning views
We had a wonderful stay! We came for a long weekend to ski around Aspen. This is the best rental house I’ve ever stayed at. The home is beautiful and the view off the back deck is breathtaking. The drive to Snowmass was about 35 minutes, Highlands was 45. The neighborhood was stunning - the homes are spread out and perched on rolling hills. 10/10 recommend and would love to return one day.

Loved this home for a large family stay. Plenty of room for everyone and scenic views all around. Worked well for us although the drive to Aspen and Snowmass took a little longer than ideal. (45 minutes +when snowy). Still definitely recommend for a large group. Absolutely beautiful home!

Friends Ski Trip
Our group has returned to this property 5 times. It's location away from town, yet close to any needed conveniences or shopping is great. We enjoy the large well stocked kitchen for making our own meals with groceries from either City Market or Whole foods just a few minutes drive down the hill. It saves needing to pack and bring all those supplies. The views of Mt Sopris from anywhere in the front of the house are spectacular, and especially so from the hot tub off the large covered patio. The only thing I could suggest is a newer smart TV downstairs so that space could be more inviting. None of us could get anything to work on the one there. Overall it's our favorite rental in Colorado for ski trips. It would be great in the summer for a group of hikers, bikers, golfers or all three. A great house to come home to after a day of fun in the area.

Gorgeous views and well equipped home. Stacey was very responsive and helpful when we had an issue with a key. The only star-knock is because there is an additional 500 dollar cleaning fee charged outside of vrbo that is very easy to miss in the occupancy contact. Would be nice if it was more transparent and charged when you make your bookin on the website.

Amazing house, even better than the pictures
We absolutely loved our stay this summer. The house is beautifully decorated and luxurious, the beds all extremely comfortable, the kitchen is incredible. I can't say enough good things about all the top-notch amenities. However, the best part is definitely the view, which blew us away from every angle. We spent an entire evening on the wrap-around porch and seating area by the hot tub taking family pictures with the glorious mountains and sky in the background. The house is quite a ways up and tucked back on rural roads, but as long as you don't mind a 5-10 minute ride down the mountain, there's restaurants and a Whole Foods right there. My whole family-- adults and teens-- loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Mountain Retreat
We've stayed at the property a couple years in a row now for skiing at the Aspen area mountains. All are within about 40-45 mins. The property itself is great for groups with private rooms spread across 3 floors, each with an en suite bathroom. It is spacious yet comfortable with soaring ceilings on the main floor and large windows with a spectacular view of snow-capped Mt Sopris. Be sure to bring your own BT speaker with you if you want to listen to music, the tech is a bit dated and we could not figure out how to use the sound system. We plan to continue coming back!

Amazing!!!
We were attending a conference in Aspen for work and absolutely loved this amazing house for a true retreat. The house is stunning both inside and out, and has absolutely everything you can think of in terms of comfort and function. It is worth the off-the-beaten- path location to have an extremely large, well stocked and clean kitchen, well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, and views that will leave you breathless. There was room for all three of our cars to park comfortably, and grocery stores are minutes away so you can enjoy cooking in and eating on the lovely porches. The hot tub worked perfectly, and we will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful weekend and for sharing your wonderful house with us.

Beware of Wifi
Property manager told us with check in instructions that internet is best possible in area, but it is basically non functional. I think I would have preferred if listing said no-wifi since half the time we couldnt load any pages. This was problematic since we had people that wanted to work from the house and couldnt. Place on the other hand was amazing, but a little out of the way. Feels a little dangerous when it is snowy since roads to house are small and dont get cleared.

Just Amazing!!!!!!
Our stay here was amazing this home was great for hosting a relaxing family getaway. Everyone in our family loved the many amenities that this home offered. We have great memories to look back on from amazing breakfast to dinners cooked together in its grand kitchen. Seriously everyone wanted to do the dishes in this house even the kids, all thanks to its amazing views from everywhere in the house. The layout of their home is amazing fit everyone in our family had great hanging out spots game room, hot tub, living room area, and again I cannot stress this enough the kitchen. Everything you could need be it towels, toiletries, or anything for cooking, baking, or grilling the property has it. This home was very much set up to make its guest enjoy their time in it. Store and town are minutes away. The only thing that we couldn’t enjoy was the fire place outside because of a burn ban, very sad about that but we understand why. One thing that am not sure if it was because of the altitude or because it was regulated but the flames on the stove weren’t that strong not enough that you can’t cook in it but it did take longer to cook things and the grill the stove had for stakes was not working. Over all it was a great place with space to relax and views that aahhhh.

Beautiful remote and relaxing
The house is stunning, with an incredible view of Mt. Sopris. It was very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. We had a group of 10 adults on a week-long ski trip, and there was more than enough space for us. The hot tub was in perfect condition, which is always critical for our group of skiers. We were able to cook group breakfast and dinners in the kitchen each night with no issues. There's plenty of parking. We managed to fit in 4 vehicles easily. We are thinking about returning for another year. It's a great home. The property managers were extremely communicative and helpful during our stay. No complaints at all about anything, really. A couple things to note - the house is remote on a dirt or gravel road (it was snow-packed while we were there so I'm not even sure), which was fine for us as we're all familiar with driving in Colorado and had snow tires.The internet speed is quite slow, as they warn in the listing. It can sometimes go down altogether, and for most of us there was absolutely zero cell reception at the house. So, if you have a lot of important calls or work zoom appointments or the like, you'll want to make sure you can head to town. Wasn't a major issue for us, but it's something important to flag. For others this could be a major positive, since it can be a sort of unplugged vacation.

Christmas Wonderland for Floridians
We flew into Vail/Eagle airport which is about 1 hour away from the property. We arrived on Christmas Day to an absolutely beautiful house. Our family of 12 was so impressed with the space and amenities of the home. There was PLENTY of sleeping space for 9 adults and 3 children. The furniture was comfy and the fireplace was massive. The property is very well maintained. The location of the house is perfect for day trips to Glenwood Springs and Snowmass - about a 30 to 45 minute drive to each. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, two dishwashers, pots, pans, and counter space. If you forget something on your grocery list, there are two grocery within 10 minutes of the house - City Market and Whole Foods. The town of Basalt was very close and had much to offer. The property manager, Stacy, was a pleasure to work with and was quick and informative with her responses. There were so many deer that visited the property and gave us many picture perfect moments. It snowed almost everyday and helped to give us a spectacular White Christmas. A few things that we would suggest for other renters would be: 1. Be prepared for very hard mattresses in all bedrooms, except the lower bunk beds, We believe the mattresses are gel memory foam and became very hard (cement like) with the cold weather. 2. The towels in the Master Bedroom are very thin and not the best quality. 3. If you are wanting to watch TV - instead of enjoying the outside and adventures that the home provides - bring your own Firestick, Roku stick or Apple TV. Some of the TV's are outdated and small and the channels are limited. The TV in the upstairs family room had the largest TV and the men were able to enjoy College Football Bowl Season because I brought our Firestick. Overall, I would definitely rent this property again - WORTH EVERY PENNY! BTW - GO GATORS - my son is about to graduate from UF and was impressed by the UF Rocking Chair in the upstairs hall.

Great House in Need if Some TLC
House was large and had amazing views. Easy access to Basalt, Carbondale and Aspen. Our main issue was that it needed a lot of deferred maintenance which sadly detracted From enjoying the house more. Virtually all of the doors need help. Two of the door handles going out literally came off in our hands! The master shower needs some tightening as the Hand held part kept falling. And the drain needed to be unplugged as the water would pool in the master shower. The screen in the guest bedroom upstairs literally fell off and one of the windows in the downstairs guest bedroom has a broken seal and is totally clouded over. Also in a luxury house there were a few things missing that are pretty basic. a). Please provide more soap bars than 1 per bathroom! b) also it would be nice to arrive and have some small shampoo bottles available. It’s just a basic amenity that most travelers would expect from this type of rental c). Spending a few pennies more to provide a better quality toilet paper that doesn’t feel like sandpaper would be appreciated. d). A toaster would have been nice and again seems pretty basic. (I know there was a toaster over but for actually making toast a toaster can’t be beat and avoids burned fingers). e) having some backup TP, paper towels etc would also be nice. We ran out and had to buy more. F). Really would be nice to have some hooks in the bathrooms for wet towels and robes. Sorry if this all sounds a bit picky but we have been both consumers of luxury properties around the world and also own luxury ski properties that we rent out. Just trying to give some constructive feedback because the house could be truly amazing with a little more effort.
