Nice house in Marble
The house is very nice and very functional. It was very clean. The owners were very nice. The mattresses could be better. Be aware, the listing says there will be slow wifi and no cell service. I thought I would be able to text on the wifi. There was NO wifi that worked for our entire stay despite bringing the issue to the owner's attention. I did use a calling card in the home to make one very important land line call but otherwise had to drive to Carbondale-25 miles down a beautiful, but mountain road-to text or have any internet.

The chalet is delightful! And, so is Marble, CO!!!
Wow! What a nice escape from the city. Quiet. Cooler. Easy walk to the beautiful Crystal River. Short drive to the Penny Hot Springs. Close to Beaver Lake for wildlife viewing, fishing and cooling off in the lake. And, that BBQ! Wow! Even our friends from TX said Marble has the BEST BBQ in the world! Who would have thought? But, back to the house! Perfectly comfortable for 2 families to share. Spent lots of time on the porch playing games in the evening. Cooked most meals at the house and kitchen was superb. Tiffany and Bruce were super friendly and easy to communicate with. Thanks again!

Great place in Marble with lots of character and a great location!
Really enjoyed our stay at Bruce and Tiffany's place! We were 8 adults (4 couples) all with kiddos/newborns and, while not the biggest house, the layout was perfect with all bedrooms upstairs. Lots of character and artistic flare which was appreciated. The bathroom and shower upstairs is amazing...and huge! Our only complaint would be the room with the skylights, but there's no hiding that in the listing. While stargazing in bed is nice, we would recommend some blinds/curtains be added. We actually made our own while there by cutting up some trash bags and hanging them with push pins :) The house could also use some lids for the bigger frying pans (unless we just couldn't find them)! Heat was also a bit high for us mountain folk at 70 degrees with the thermostat in a locked box, but we got in touch with Bruce and he came and turned it down for us. All in all, the place was awesome. Perfect for what we planned: the 1st Annual "New Years and Newborns" gathering where mommies and daddies could take turns skiing off Quarry road while those not skiing watched the kiddos. Crazy low snow year, but that's out of anyone's control. We will definitely be back if we don't buy our own place in Marble sooner!

A jewel in the Mountains
We stayed at this property for 3 nights as we celebrated a family wedding. Our hosts were very accommodating and flexible. The property is super with every detail thought through. It was clean, organized and made us feel like home. It accommodated our family with the number of bedrooms and the layout was perfect allowing our teenage daughter to sleep in, while we made coffee and visited downstairs. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect escape for a family reunion
It is a very nice home in a wonderful mountain setting. Everything was clean and cozy. Kitchen was well supplied and easy to use. Crystal River is just a few steps down the road for avid fishermen and the local pond was a perfect spot to teach beginners. Mnt. Chalet Getaway truly was a special place to relax with the family. While in the area, we enjoyed the hike to the mentioned waterfall and hiked to Thomas Lake while some managed to continue on the trail and made it to the top of Mt. Sopris. We also toured the beautiful Redstone Castle. Many Thank Yous for the enjoyable time.

The property is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for when planning our trip to Marble.
The Mountain Chalet was a perfect getaway for our family; 5 adults and three children. Everyone fit comfortably and loved different features of the chalet. The kids loved the slide and the tire swing and kept them busy for hours. The adults loved the front porch and the convenient access to hiking and fishing. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the kitchen was very well stocked. We utilized the grill and the outdoor fire pit. Cooking hot dogs and s'mores over the fire pit was a huge hit. The house was immaculate and very well taken care of and Bruce and Tiffany have done an amazing job updating the chalet. Wouldn't change a thing. My family has been coming to the Valley for decades and since finding this gem, we are already plan our trip next summer. Although, we decided that we will extend our stay past 3 nights. We just felt like we were easing into our vacation and believe a few more nights and days would be perfect. Thank you for sharing your home!

The Perfect Getaway!
Wow! What a wonderful house in a wonderful location! If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy lifestyle, this could be it. Located in Hermit's Hideaway, it is about 2 miles from the town of Marble. Very secluded and peaceful. Although there are quite a few homes in Hermit's Hideaway, we rarely saw anybody, and the people that we did meet were always friendly or offered a welcoming wave. The chalet is obviously Bruce's and Tiffany's pride and joy and their TLC is displayed throughout the house. When we arrived, it was absolutely spotless. Bruce's woodworking skills have been put to good use. Words do not give it justice. Bruce and Tiffany are very friendly, helpful and live nearby, however, we rarely saw them. They respected our privacy and we enjoyed our chance meetings with them. We rented the house for the entire month of July. We had a mini family reunion and also had several families and friends visit us throughout the month. We did everything from ATV riding, hiking, fishing, exploring, sightseeing, and target shooting to relaxing and just enjoying the scenery. We spent a lot of our free time just relaxing on the side porch. The living room was equally relaxing. The kitchen easily handled our big family meals........several of which were made from Rainbow Trout caught in the lake which was a mere 5 minute walk. The bedrooms were just the right size, not too big and not too small. Two of the bedrooms had a loft bed in them. Although it was a nice setup, it tended to get warm in the loft bed on the hot summer nights. We opted to purchase an inexpensive fan for the lofts, which fixed the problem. The WiFi could be an issue if too many people are trying to access it at one time. I found that by taking turns, it was manageable. Otherwise, it could be frustrating. Cellphone service is nonexistent in Marble. The closest place for cellphone service is Carbondale. The house has a landline phone. We gave family and friends the house phone number and they would call us on that phone. I could see that the WiFi and lack of cellphone service could be an issue for some families, but it worked well for us. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We liked the isolation and rural setting and did not mind driving 30 minutes to get supplies in Carbondale. Would we rent here again............you betcha!

Sundquist Reunion 2016
Our family has taken vacations together before, but never in such a clean & beautiful setting. It's a real toss up what the grandkids enjoyed most: the outside winding slide (to get from main level to ground), the tire swing (enjoyed by all ages 7 - 18yrs), or the video "Steward Little"...and that is just @ the Chalet itself. SOOOO much to enjoy: gorgeous river/mountains/sunsets/sunrises/deer in the backyard/hikes to the waterfall/watching the dog enjoying the green, green grass, special coffee & well-supplied kitchen! Just WOW!!! Thank you Tiffany & Bruce for being so accommodating. Hope to return in two years for next reunion! Dwain, Betty, Jason, Susan, Kevin, Jenn & kiddos P.S. We drove to BBQ place in Marble...pretty crowded on Sun. pm & too warm inside. :(

Rocky Mountain High with Style
The owners of this home are artist and it really shows. The house has a nice rustic feel but with serious feng shui and functionality. Our large group had plenty of room to spread out and hang out when we wanted to be all together. We love to cook and the kitchen served us well. It was well equipped with an open floor plan with ample counter space. The owners made it clear that they were available if we needed anything but completely respected our space. Marble, Colorado is truly a Colorado gem and so is this home.

This is one of my favorite parts of the state. Incredibly beautiful. The house was perfect. Comfortable and cozy, with plenty of room. The house is well stocked, the front porch is great, and you can go for nice walks including up to a waterfall. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Family vacation in the mountains
We spent a week in this lovely mountain home at the end of July and I was sad to return home! The home is about 50 minutes from Glenwood Springs and at first I was not thrilled about the drive to most of our planned activities but in the end it was a blessing as Marble is a beautiful, relaxing, and quiet area. I am sooo happy that we stayed off the beaten path! The home is beautiful inside, with natural wood everywhere and beautifully tiled bathrooms. It contains most kitchen utensils and pots and pans that you will need. The washer and dryer is new and worked well. There is a nice porch where we sat and read. The view of Chair Mountain from the living room is breath taking. There are 4 decently sized rooms with sleeping for about 10 if you don't mind cuddling-i had wished there would have been 1 king sized bed. We hiked to the nearby waterfall which is really great. We have 3 teenage boys and we had plenty to keep them busy. We went white water rafting through Glenwood Canyon, we went paragliding over Glenwood valley. We fished at Beaver lake. We went to the Vapor caves and soaked in Penny Hot springs at mile marker 55. We traveled to Aspen for a day and also to Crested Butte (my favorite). We also just stayed back and played games. We really had a great time and would definitely return. Also the owner's had fresh cut wild flowers when we arrived as well as chocolates and a bag of local coffee.!

Awful experience at Burton Chalet
We were on a working vacation, so booking rentals with reliable internet access was paramount. Burton Chalet claimed to have that, but no cell service. We arrived to find the internet non-functional - couldn't load wed pages, couldn't check email, certainly couldn't stream any audio/video/telephone. With no cell reception either, there were no options. We advised the owners within 2 hours of arriving and told them we couldn't stay without internet access. We were unable to book a new accommodation until the following day, so we did wind up staying two nights out of a planned seven. When we asked about a refund for the rest of the week, the owners first told us, "Sorry, we have a 30 day cancellation policy." When we reminded them that we were only cancelling because their accommodations were not as described, they changed their story. Now they claimed that they have a 3 day minimum so we would be charged for an additional day that we did not stay, and that they were upping us to the daily rate rather than the weekly rate we had booked under. After that, they stopped responding. Ultimately, they never issued a refund for any days. They didn't even refund the security deposit! I disputed the charges with my credit card company. I would not recommend booking here unless all you want is no contact with the outside world and you don't mind sharing amenities and the property with the owners.

Wild Willson Women
What a great place to enjoy the mountains. The owners are like friends. We were greeted by a mason jar of fresh picked wild flowers that seemed to just fit right in. The house was clean and well equipped with anything one could need. There was also fresh coffee and chocolates, so what's not to love. The tire swing in the back was such fun for the kids and grown-ups alike. This is a great place for anyone and you can bet we will be back.

Hidden Gem in the Crystal Valley
We brought our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids up for a 4th of July vacation. Our grandson who is 3 1/2 has been read the entire "Little House on the Prairie" series and kept calling this house... his "House in the Big Woods". We had fun "exploring" the property and playing on the slide and tire swing. Marble is one of our favorite towns in Colorado. After a day of seeing the sights, we finished at the Slo-Groovin' BBQ!!! Our highlight of the trip was going to the 4th of July Parade in Redstone. We spent our last day taking our grandson for his first fishing trip. We walked down to the lake behind the airstrip and with the help of my husband (and a Mickey Mouse fishing pole) he caught his first fish!!! This home is beautiful and relaxing with it's woodwork and artistic touches! We really appreciated it's open concept main level so that we could keep an eye on the kids. Thanks Tiffany and Bruce for the perfect little hidden gem in the Crystal Valley. We are already thinking of making it a yearly tradition:-)

Grandparents
We bought our grandchildren and their parents to this wonderful hideaway. The chalet is just like the photo and that did remind us of Switzerland. The inside was full of beautiful special woodwork, art and fine touches. Thanks to Tiffany and Bruce for the coffee and cookies, a nice welcome. Our family enjoyed sledding and hiking to a frozen waterfall. We felt like we were in the movie "Frozen".

Lovely, comfortable home for family stay in Marble
We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers in our group visiting our son in Marble. The house was very clean and nicely furnished. Nice little yard where we grilled out. Enjoyed the porch with a table. We had enough room to have everyone over for dinner. Conveniently located to lots of natural beautiful places - quiet and relaxing. We were all very comfortable.

Wonderful vacation home
We had a fabulous vacation. Thank you Bruce and Tiffany for your wonderful, warm welcome. The "Chalet" was remodeled with the most exquisite touches and quality materials. Custom warm woodwork throughout the home made this comfortable home so charming and interesting. It really was a mountain chalet. The Marble area was so beautiful. We had the most beautiful hikes each day we were there. Our highlight was watching the rather large beaver in the river right by the house. Another highlight was dinner at the Slow Groovin BBQ. This is a must. Very nice people working there and the best BBQ I have ever had. We also loved the hike to the Crystal Mill. One of my top 10 hikes in Colorado. Milton Waterfall is within walking distance to the house and is amazingly beautiful as well. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your home. We cant wait to come back in fall or winter!

Excellent Rental, Great Town
Tiffany and Bruce were both fantastic to rent from. Correspondence was simple and they both are very enthusiastic and helpful about the area. The house is absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to get away for any amount of time. I would highly recommend this home, which is located in a great location in a very unique mountain town. The pictures do not do it justice.
