"Nice location; close enough to town yet far enough away to be quiet. Felt very comfortable and very at-home at Benson Cottage - a great place to unwind and enjoy what Nature and the Moosehead Lake region have to offer. Our host, Tara, was friendly, easy to communicate with and kept the cottage well-stocked and clean. We wanted for nothing. I sure hope we can come back before too long!"

"We have been loving this camp and the pond for over 25 years. Sharing it with our children as young teens and now as adults, and grandchildren ! We cannot say enough wonderful things about this lakefront destination. Spacious, comfortable, welcoming, close to any forgotten or needed supplies, a few steps to the cleanest pond, able to have the boat we rented at the dock, wonderful neighbors... A very special home away from home minus any stress :)"

"We returned here this year after a magical stay last summer. We were not disappointed. The location of the house on Lake Hebron makes for a fun time. Kayaking, fishing, birdwatching or just sitting and relaxing occupied our time at the house. The loons calling created a soundtrack for our stay. We were even treated to the unexpected appearance of the Northern lights Nearby, trips to waterfalls, hikes to Mount Kineo filled the week. If you are here, do not miss the B52 crash memorial. "All I wanted was to get away and find a little solitude and disconnect from the hustle of life. This place provides a happy medium of alone and the necessity of modern convenience. Most important, it was quiet. Beautifully quiet. I would sit by the fire at dusk and watch the fire while listening to the Coyotes do role call in the distance. Such a relaxing hideaway that I wish I could have stayed there a month. The hosts did not bother my and respected my privacy. Eggs were good as well. "
