"I went to Goa after 10yrs! Booked LA after landing. I wanted to stay in a typical Goan/Portuguese home instead of a hotel. LA everything I expected and more. "Mateus had charm for sure and it is in the extremely picturesque Fontainhas neighborhood. Lots of photos to take just strolling around the area. "Arrived on the Thursday, accommodation owner had no knowledge of my arrival and I was forced to contact hotels.com for the issue to be resolved. After this stay went ok. Room was clean and sheets changed without having to ask after 3 nights. Around 10 minutes walk to the beach but not an issue for me. Nothing stands out so an average stay. And for £18 a night not bad. "

"The hotel staff mislead us for pickup from airport. They refused to clean the room as we checked in after 7 by saying that they don't do cleaning at night. The staff was very rude no proper backup in case of power cut and we had to suffer for hours without AC or fan. Even the TV didn't worked and no dedicated staff for cleaning and other services."

"We were moved to a different property called Casa Seaesta at the last minute as there was a “short circuit”. Even a two star rating is overrated for this property. The entire property is cheaply built and maintained. The pool photo on the website is from the adjacent property. The guests are smoking everywhere on the property including the restaurant. The guests are drinking booze in broad daylight. The staff are poorly trained and dressed. The fittings inside the room are old and cranky....
