Sunny Days 5 Bedroom / 5 Bath House

The house sports the “old Florida” style, yet offers smart, modern design and conveniences.
And you’ll really appreciate this ideal location: just leave the cars and stroll short distances to everything,
including shops, restaurants, activities, and of course the beach! The Sunny Days elevator provides easy
access from the ground level (with garage) to the main level.

The backyard is a peaceful retreat day or night and is unlike any in Captiva’s village. It features a private heated pool plus
an in-ground spa tub, all surrounded by an elegantly furnished sun deck.  The serene tropical garden is beautifully illuminated
at night and has a delightful path winding through the exotic foliage and flowers.

Porches and Decks. There are many porches and decks at Sunny Days. The first you’ll notice upon entering the
property is the grand front porch, which spans the entire width of the house. Traditional high-back rocking chairs
invite relaxation, while the tropical plantings in the front yard offer some privacy and the impression of a faraway tropical paradise.

The screened lanai in the back adjoins the dining area on the main level and overlooks the private pool and garden.
It is roofed in case of a tropical shower and has a broad staircase down to the pool patio. It is accessed through double
French doors from the kitchen and dining area. There is a separate set of French doors leading from the primary suite.

 Games! Sunny Days  game equipment includes an Air Hockey table, foosball table, and ping pong table.
The entire glass wall can slide away to open this area onto the outdoor pool deck.

Great Stay at Sunny Days!
We had such a great time staying at Sunny Days! We've stayed there in the past and the house was just like we remembered it. There was plenty of room for the whole family to be together and plenty of places to do other things too - ping pong, foosball, air hockey, swim in pool or just an extra couch to take a nap on ;) Captiva looks great - most of the places seem up and running again, with a few exceptions. We missed the Bubble Room, but were able to get some Bubble Room cake at Boop's, which was nice. Thanks for such a great stay!

When the travel insurance failed to cover Ian’s impact to our vacation, Lisa never gave up on us and provided a great place for us this year and when mobility issues presented a challenge, Lisa found a place with an elevator. All told, this great vacation would not have happened for our family this year had it not been for the extra effort by Lisa Wheeler and her staff. Thank You all!

We loved the screened porch for relaxing in the evening. The pool area was amazing and the pool was always cleaned each morning. It was a three minute walk to the beach and the home was well stocked with beach chairs and a wagon. We also walked to restaurants and the general store. Overall a fantastic stay!

The house works great for us, since we have 4 couples. Everyone has their own queen or King bead and private bathroom.We needed to contact American Realty to request coffe cups. There were only 4. American was super responsive and brought over new cups that day. I recommend this house to anyone who wants to be within easy walking distance to everything in Captiva.

The house was clean and linens were plentiful. The kitchen could use some help. For a party of 10, we do a lot of cooking, there are some basics the house is lacking-casserole dishes and larger sized pots & pans, so I expect that will be corrected. However, if you stay on Andy Rosse, you were probably planning on walking to lunch and dinner anyway. Some great restaurants are just out the front door. Kudos to American Realty: we had an issue with the septic tank and Albert himself came by to check it out and within two hours we had a company there pumping out our tank, now that is responsive service!!

This property is beautiful and well appointed with serveware, beach toys, technology, decor and more. We wish there had been some extra blankets for the bedrooms and there was a broken toilet paper holder, but other than those minor issues, it was absolutely perfect for our family of 6.The sun deck was perfect for a quiet escape and the outdoor pool was lovely with plenty of opportunity for sun.

The maintenance people responded quickly when the air conditioning stopped working upstairs and the disposal clogged. A few comments to improve the property for future guests:1. the kitchen was very minimally stocked. We bought our own salad spinner on amazon. The pots were small and the knives were beyond dull. Not great for families who like to cook.2. The pool was pretty shady. The trees felt overgrown. 3. The queen bed on the first floor wasn't great. The headboard banged around when you sat on the bed4. Only 8 beach towels in the house and they were on the small side. Would have been nice to have a few more better quality beach towels. thanks!
