The “Poggio al Sole” apartment is located in Lacona, in the southern part of the island. It is at about one kilometer away from a beautiful and large sandy beach. Lacona gulf overlooks the Montecristo Island. It borders with the Fonza Peninsula in the west side and with the Capo Stella promontory in the east.
It is renowned for its extra fine golden sand, as well as for its naturally beautiful landscape. It is the only beach in the Tuscan Archipelago that has preserved intact some dune areas where the sea lily flowers bloom. These flowers are well known for their intense aroma.
The sand gives way to rock bottoms and Posidonia, making this beach one of the best scuba diving destinations. It’s a family friendly beach with its shallow water and fine sand where children can safely play.
Thanks to the beautiful pine trees by the beach, it is one of the few places on Elba that allows you to enjoy natural shading areas where you can rest, play, and have picnics. The beach has commodities such as cafes, restaurants, diving, windsurfing, sailing and motor boats rentals, sunbeds and umbrella rentals. You can also enjoy any other kind of water sports.
This two-room apartment with a loft is ideal for 2/4 guests. It is part of a small residential area; it has a separate entrance from the ground floor; it is composed of a living room with a kitchenette with a four gas burner stove; oven; dishwasher; refrigerator with a small freezer; TV; small bedroom with two single beds; bathroom with shower; internal staircase leading to the bedroom (loft); large outdoor area equipped with table, chairs, gazebo and a cooking area with barbecue; outdoor shower; simple but comfortable furniture; uncovered parking area nearby.

Arrival: check-in 4-7:30 pm. Departure: check-out by 9 a.m. Utilities: electricity, water, gas, air conditioning included. Final cleaning: Final cleaning: € 95.00 (mandatory – to pay in office at arrival). Bed linen and towels: to bring or to rent at € 20.00 per person per week (to pay and pick up in office at arrival). Posizione molto tranquilla nel bosco ma assai vicina alla spiaggia di Lacona (5 minuti in macchina). In casa c'è tutto il necessario, soprattutto l'aria condizionata (anche se un asciugacapelli e un portasapone nella doccia ci potevano stare.) Purtroppo lamento la quasi totale mancanza di connettività, non solo internet ma anche rete cellulare.

Das Domizil liegt bezogen auf die geografische Lage perfekt; alle Ziele sind in max. 45 Autominuten zu erreichen. Wer es gemütlich mag, ist hier richtig, Bigpoint ist die Klimaanlage, wenngleich einem die knapp unterm Dach - wo sich das Doppelbett befindet - wenig bringt. Kein WLAN vorhanden. Ist zwar kein Drama, aber Netz hatten wir dort trotz unterschiedlicher Anbieter selten bis gar nicht. Der Tisch nebst Stühle, die man auf dem Bild sieht, sind Campingutensilien. Schwamm drüber, ist irgendwie charmant. Zum herrlichen Strand sind es 30-35 Minuten, das zieht sich. Lieber mit dem Auto am Fuß der Holperpiste zum Haus hin parken, Rest laufen. Fazit: wenn man gutes Verh. Preis/Leistung sucht: passt. Die Lage ist perfekt!
