"This is a lovely spot to stay - so historic, well laid out and so close to everything we needed. Dino and Marjan were able to let us check in early which was so kind. The train station was close, grocery store was close, the restaurants across the canal were lovely and being on the canal was super cool. "

Hans, the host, was really welcoming and helpful and if you want to lean more about the windmill then Google 'Vrouwgeest windmill' and learn how it has been in his family since 1797. "Lake House 74 exceeded our expectations! We were a group of 6 - 2 couples with our adult children. The location of the house was perfect - just outside of Leiden, situated along a canal. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Stephan was easy to contact, very responsive to all of our requests, and made us feel at home. He also had great suggestions for local activities. Be sure to rent a boat and drive through the canals to get to the center of Leiden. I would stay here again...

"The apartment was spotless with everything you needed to be home away from home. It was very unique and comfortable. it was very spacious and overlooked the farming area so peaceful and relaxing. The bed and bed linen were of quality which make for a perfect nights sleep. Parking was available right outside the door which was appreciated. If travelling with more than 2 people there is a second toilet and wash basin upstairs next to the second bedroom, where the wash machine is also located....

"Die Lage des Hauses als Ausgangspunkt ideal. Check in Unterlagen zu spät erhalten. Haus wird die meiste Zeit vom Hauseigentümer genutzt. Dies ist spürbar und das war für uns nicht eindeutig definiert. Ausstattung war gut. Hauseinrichtung geschmackvoll. Kontakt war nett."
