We found the property comfortable and well supplied with most amenities, EXCEPT that we learned only a few days before our arrival that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels. This was not stated in the property listing (at least not in any visible way we were able to find). We only discovered this because one extra-inquisitive member of our group read about it in a prior review. A quick text to the property owner confirmed, and we were frantically checking to see if any of us had king size beds. None of us did, so we quickly ordered 5 sets of sheets from Amazon for next day delivery.
Other than that, our stay was enjoyable and uneventful. We had a minor issue with the WiFi cutting out during our first day there, but the owner was very responsive and the issue was resolved quickly. Our only other complaint was that the kitchen sink faucet was very loose and wobbled around when used. Once fixed, this should not be a problem for future renters. We found it very annoying, however.
The property location is on a nice, quiet street, about a 5-10 minute walk from the center of Cape May. We found this a nice compromise between being in the center of things and having peace and quiet. There are some restaurants and shops only a block or two away (some right out the back gate) which was convenient. The walk to the beach was not bad, but we weren’t carrying much.
Overall, we would stay again at this property and recommend it to others. Just be sure to pack sheets!
