The Blue Cove Villa is a lovely little gem in a an average Cape Coral community. We found that it was centrally located to anything you want to do in Cape Coral or the surrounding areas. Shopping, dining out, and movies are all nearby, but Cape Coral is very spread out, so nothing is really that close. You really need a car.
The house itself is adorable and well kept. The main bathroom and kitchen have been recently upgraded, so that gives the house a modern feel. It is also very convenient that you can park in the garage and come into the kitchen through the garage door after shopping.
The master bedroom is spacious and the bed was VERY comfortable. Beds are always a worry when we rent. This house did not disappoint. The beds were all comfortable. The master bath was large, especially the shower, which is not new, but had a great shower head and a seat.
It is not a big house but it is a very nicely laid out house. The master is on one side of the living room and the two other bedrooms are on the other. Those two rooms share a central bathroom, which also serves as the main bathroom for the house. The LR opens to the outside patio, pool and lanai. Beyond the lanai is a canal and a dock, which was a lovely place to gather for sunset.
Although the owner advertised the pool as heated, you must understand that solar heat is not able to heat the pool during winter months. Therefore, when we arrived, the pool was NOT heated. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED, having rented for a month and having just left below zero weather in the northeast. When I approached the owner about the "heated pool," he said he would have an electric heater put in. I was a bit surprised that he was so amenable, but he did have a new electric heater put in a few days later. THIS IS A GREAT OWNER! Greg is a man of his word. I believe this investment will serve Greg well, as many renters will enjoy this convenience. Good on ya, Greg.(Also,Greg has lovely neighbors)
I also found things missing in the home- measuring cups, etc. He told me to go out and buy them, if I didn't mind. Additionally, there were no chaise lounges for the patio ( except two collapsible and portable beach-type ones, which were not very comfortable. He also let me buy two loungers. Again, Greg you are a gem!
One further issue for which there really was no resolution. The TV is a smart tv. This was a problem the entire time we were there. THIS IS NOT REGULAR TV. I think Greg will have to rethink the TV system
