The home was pristine and beautifully decorated for the holidays! The owner met us with margaritas at check-in and provided us with many delicious treats which we enjoyed throughout our stay. The home was minutes from Palo Duro Canyon which hosted a full schedule of children's programs the week before Christmas. Feeding the sheep and the many birds at Nocona Lodge was a highlight for the kids as well as riding bikes and playtime in the sand box. Beverly's hospitality was over the top. She gave us many great ideas for our time here and provided us a lovely, welcoming and cozy environment to explore the Canyon's offerings! We had a fabulous time! Happy Holidays Beverly! Thank you Beverly!
The host went above and beyond to make our stay convenient and accommodating, which is what made our stay so great! The house was beautiful and full of so many things to do and learn! Definitely somewhere we will be coming back to stay.
The Nocona Lodge is as good as advertised and then some! So many thoughtful details and a truly relaxing environment. Host Beverly gives everything a personal touch greeting guests with margaritas, homemade cookies, guacamole, queso, snacks, and a full tour! Can't wait to return, next time for a longer stay.
Amazing. Gorgeous property and surrounding area is stunning. Fantastic views and stars incredible on clear nigjt. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Loved all the wildlife
The house is so comfortable, you have all you need plus a magnificent view on the canyon.
We really enjoyed the house decor and the backyard.
Owner super nice, welcomed us with treats and helped us organizing our days.
I would recommend it!
Beverly warmly greeted us with guacamole and margaritas! Her home is lovely with every amenity and tastefully decorated. The aoudads come right up on her driveway and let us hand feed them - such a neat experience. Palo Duro Canyon State Park is minutes away with easy trail access. We did a lot of cooking at home and had a few meals at Sad Monkey. A great home and experience.
Nacona Lodge was the perfect place to unwind and reset while celebrating our wedding Anniversary coupled with a family getaway. Beverly is an exceptional host, offering several suggestions of things to do in the area. A lovely property that makes you truly unwind. The views of Paulo Duro Canyon are stunning and it was a thrilling experience interacting with the Auodad. We love this place!!
The property is stunning! Attention to detail is off the charts! The backyard opens up to the canyon providing incredible views. The home itself is very well appointed and is stocked with all the essentials. The location is ideal, only minutes from Palo Duro Canyon State Park and 25 minutes from Amarillo. The host is friendly, knowledgeable and truly cares about helping you make the most out of your stay. Couldn't ask for more! We'll be back!
We were greeted personally by Beverly and introduced to the property and all amenities. She treated us like instant friends and even provided some snacks! The property was amazing, kitchen was stocked, everything was clean. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would recommend this property to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
This house exceeded our expectations! Beverly went above and beyond! From the spicy margaritas to the homemade guacamole delicious!! Kids had had a blast riding bicycles, pickle ball (for the first time) to cornhole!
You can’t forget the amazing views!! All being Minutes from the state park!!
Great return trip to Nocona. Beverly is a wonderful host. Greeted us with guacamole and margaritas! Home is comfortable, stocked with whatever you may need, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed visiting barbary sheep and birds - very peaceful. Enjoyed the Texas musical, canyon jeep tour, and Midpoint Cafe on route 66. Honey buzz winery was great too. Next trip, hope to tour the local museum and get back to local shops. Thanks again for a great trip!
Everything about Nacona Lodge was what we had hoped for, and even more! Beverly communicated before our stay and checked in on us during the stay. She left delicious homemade treats for us to serve our guests on our first night. It was easy to see that her attention to our comfort and enjoyment was a high priority. I so hope we can stay with her again!!
This home is the perfect place to stay for your Palo Duro Canyon visit. It is 3 miles from the entrance to the park. The home was clean and comfortable. It is the best stocked rental I've ever stayed at. The owner is very hands on and pleasant. She provided numerous helpful recommendations and was there with margaritas, chips and guacamole to greet us! Highly recommend!
Just returned from a few days overlooking Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas panhandle. Nacona Lodge is the perfect place to do that. The kitchen os stocked with anything a visiting group might need. The beds are extremely comfortable. Everything works. But the best part is that the hosts are the BEST hosts you could ever want. We had plenty of information to enjoy the area and we had hosts who wanted our stay to be the best. I highly recommend Nacona Lodge and Palo Duro Canyon.
Just as advertised! Hosts bent over backwards to assist with activities and ideas for family with unfortunate park trail closures due to rain. We still found lots of fun activities around and at the house. Will defiantly recommend and come back.
Beverly is the most gracious host. Made us margaritas, guacamole when we arrived. The home is gorgeous, with anything you could need. Visits from the Aoudad is my absolute favorite part. Fed them numerous times. The bird watching is awesome too. If you're on the fence abojt staying here, just so it!
We had a fantastic spring break staying at Nocona lodge. Beverly is a really thoughtful host and so sweet! She really takes pride in making sure you have a comfortable and cozy stay. The house is well stocked, really nice kitchen and appliances, everything you need! All the fun Texas and historical coffee table literature was interesting to read. The wild life out back was the highlight of the trip for our 3 boys! They got to feed deer, Aoudad’s and saw a coyote too! Kid’s enjoyed playing pickleball. The view of the canyon was beautiful. Really short drive to the State Park and Sad Monkey Mercantile is right at the entrance to the neighborhood has great pizza.
Highly recommended booking Nocona Lodge!
Fabulous time for all. Palo Duro is breathtaking. We took a keep tour, saw the musical in the park, visited Caprock canyon and saw Bison, prairie dogs and roadrunners. Best of all sitting and relaxing on patio and watching the views, feeding the aodad sheep, mule deer and birds! Beautiful home decorated perfectly. And….the beds were wonderful. Beverly met us and greeted us with homemade margaritas and guacamole. She made the experience! Thank you Beverly!
