Great place to stay. We've been staying here for years. We booked the "penthouse" because the pictures showed a large balcony and was very spacious. Unfortunately when we checked in the room wasn't available so we had a king room on the top floor. It definitely is a bummer going up 4 flights of stairs for a standard room. But, other than that it's still as awesome as ever.
This hotel had everything. Great price, comfortable bed, clean, nice neighborhood with many restaurants nearby, beautiful view from balcony. Would definitely stay again
the location is perfect, the bus stop is within 2 minutes, easy to get around the city, bus drivers are very helpful. the money exchange place is around the corner, the big grocery store is within 5 min walk, if you want authentic food go to the Palapas is really cheap and is about 7 min walk, and if you want seafood walk about 3 minutes more and you will find the el cevichaso, people are very helpful .

Overall condition of the hotel is ok, location is close to Tulum ave, although you need to travel some dark back alleys to access the hotel directly from Tulum Ave. The front desk is 24 hours but there is no key or buzzer, so if the person steps away you have to stand there and wait with no where to sit. Tv didnt work and no water on my last day there.
I had a reservation which they did not honor because they made a mistake and overbooked. I was made to leave as they had rented my room. Horrible experience. Rude front desk girl when I arrived except for one woman at desk during day who tried to help. I showed my confirmation email to them but they weren’t interested- the boss wasn’t. Don’t patronize this place
We booked our room 1 month in advance, when we arrived the booking wasn't to find in their system, check-in took about half an hour. Arriving in the room wasn't a relief as wel: toiletflush was broken, the safe didn't work and they gave us a room next to the exhaust pipe of the airconditioning witch makes an annoying noice starting from 7 am! We had to ask as wel to open the minibar.
The staff didn’t speak very good English, there wasn’t a shuttle from airport, and no where to store your food or microwave.

OK for overnight but would not stay longer
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was ok, there was garbage in the bathroom waste basket. The bathroom ceiling had a large crack in the shower area with paint peeling from around it and water stains from a substantial leak.
It is in a quiet area with a short walk to the end of the block to an OXXO. The balcony was a nice size with a tale and chairs provided. Unfortunately they also had a large tinaco that had been used for a palm tree planter. The palm was gone and the tinaco did nothing more now than become a water filled mosquito breeding ground with a slight swampy smell.
Wi/fi worked well if a bit slow. TV worked but only Spanish stations.
Bed - Hummm. Everyone has a different level of comfort that they like for sleeping. Unfortunately this bed did not come anywhere near comfortable for me. It may be fine for some but it was about the worst I have slept in, in many years.
Overall as a 1 night stay before flying out it was a good value for the money , except or the bed.
Our stay at Marazul hotel was good. Excellent value for money choice, good location right in the heart of Cancún city, with easy parking space and relatively quiet neighborhood. A decent alternative if you want to stay away from the hotel zone. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed so big and very comfortable. The plants were not very well taken care of and generally it felt not so well maintained place. 24hr reception is a bonus but be aware that there is no elevator and the hotel has four floors.

Good place to rest
The hotel is in a great location, nice to rest after the long day. Comfortable in general, but missing some maintenance...
The room was perfect, nice view of the bay and skyline....Bed was very comfy and the size of the room was incredible....with the small Refrigerator....
Suggestion....add some weather stripping around the entry door so when you shut it...it doesn't go boom....we left at 4AM and when we shut the door ....I am sure it woke up our neighbors and the rooms below us....
Very happy with this hotel, and liked the fact I could arrange the airport transfers to and from online through this hotel.

Reviews are very accurate.
Stay here if you want to explore Cancun. It's a decent stay. No elevator so good exercise if you get4th floor. No phone in room. Cheap shower curtain. Windows are awkward. Curtains are not good on windows. House next to hotel had a camera pointing at our room. Beach is not very close. Get what you paid for.

the restroom sink needs maintenance. over all good hotel for price.
This hotel is in a great location! The only drawback is if you are on the fourth floor... there is no elevator. I would gladly stay here any time I’m in Cancun. Friendly staff that speak English very well.
Check in was made easy by nice front desk staff. I had a 16 hour layover in cancun and this spot was perfect to spend a few hours walking around and exploring. The room was clean and comfortable.
Very nice area. The pm front desk was so nice and helpful Fernandina especially. Price is good

Good choice for the price
Really clean room staff is super friendly and the hotel is located near of some good Mexican restaurants
Room 204 is closer to the kitchen and stinks. The showers of this hotel needs fixing, the towels are so outdated they have holes. Other than that, it's great location. Rooms in first and second floor have a kitchen if you're into cooking for yourself. And yhe location is awesome!
