The staff was very helpful. The hotel restaurant, Chifley's, had great food. Cocktails in the garden was lovely. The rooms were well appointed. It was a pleasant walk to all the cultural spots first time tourists like me come to Canberra to see,

Historic hotel in a great location. Comfortable spacious room. We walked to most of the attractions that we visited, eg The National Gallery and a short Uber trip to some restaurants in Manuka. On site restaurant was good and a buzzing cafe with good coffee virtually next door. We would stay again.
