Large Oceanfront House with Hot Tub!

  • Stay. Relax. Breathe. And fall in love with our West Coast style oceanfront house in Campbell River, British Columbia. Enjoy the the big, beautiful house on the water with a beautiful sunrise in the morning as you watch the bald eagles fly over you. Then be sure to watch the ocean for seals, sea lions, dolphins and occasionally orcas! The evening can be spent relaxing in the hot tub, cooking on the BBQ or cozying up watching a movie on the big screen tv. You'll wonder where the day went!

    The house has an extremely large private deck with two different seating areas, a BBQ, and a top of the line Beachcomber hot tub to relax in. There is a breathe-taking ocean view from the deck that you will never tire to look at.

    Inside you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you'll need to cook any type of meal. There are two master bedrooms, both with their own ensuite bathrooms. One master has a walk in closet and a king sized bed and the other has a king bed. The other two bedrooms are super cozy and have Queen beds in them. Also, feel free to use the laundry facilities if you need to do some washing. Of course there is wifi, an Apple TV and cable TV to compliment your stay. All three full bathrooms have showers and bathtubs.

    But with the beach only a few feet away, you may find yourself down there watching the world go by and never think about being in touch with the outside world!

    Nearby you will find amazing sand beaches like Saratoga and forested beaches such as Miracle Beach. You will also find excellent coffee and ice cream at the Fogg Duckers located on the beach on your way into Campbell River. Give yourself plenty of time to sit outside and watch boats and whales go by! If you want to be active, then head to the Info Centre in town, and there are numerous hiking trails, kayak and canoeing spots, and of course salmon fishing and whale watching to top it off.

Beach House

Our stay at the beach house in Campbell River was fantastic. The hottub on the oceanfront deck was the highlight. Hearing the waves at night crashing on the shore sets the vibe. Tonnes of room and the house is fully stocked.

Family fun by the ocean

Met up with my adult children and truly enjoyed ourselves. House was large and gave everyone room to spread out. Hot tub was great.

Large house, nice getaway

We stayed here as 2 family's with young children (2yrs, 4yrs & 5yrs) its in a lovely location with lots of opportunities to get outdoors (on the beach and a large garden).The house is nice and roomy for lots of people. The communal areas are nicely laid out for sociallising. However, there are a few bits which need updating with the property- there were quite a few power outlets not working.The host friendly but not overly helpful, we had issues with the smoke alarm constantly beeping as well as not enough towels provided which weren't resolved during our stay.

Relaxing and breath taking

The moment we got into the house we knew this was going to be a wonderful week. The view was amazing and even though you can see neighbours (somewhat) we did not hear them. If felt like we were isolated, yet still in reach of all amenities. The only sad part was when we had to leave.

Family Holiday

Beautiful waterfront property with direct access to shoreline and super view of strait. Hot tub well maintained and a good size. Unfortunately yard not fenced for dog (s). Some small amenities not there, i.e. working lighter for BBQ Very close to busy road.

Family Getaway

Our family of 7 and dogs had a fabulous Island getaway. You cannot beat the views. Situated right on the ocean, we spent our mornings walking the beach, our nights in the hottub looking up at the stars and our days hiking Elk Fall trails. Situated 10min away from town, we had access to grocery stores. What we liked was the layout. There is one bedroom suite downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs including another Master. This was great for us as we had a teething baby. Everyone got their rest. Big family/living room to entertain and play games. Very spacious and the layout allowed us to all have our own space. The front of the house is not fenced, however the beach is just steps away from the back door and our dogs tended to prefer exploring that way. Very large deck. You simply cannot beat the view

The house was adequate. On a positive note-1) the beds were very comfortable. 2)We liked the separate dining room and the table was very functional. 3)The bathrooms were a good size and we appreciated that there were tubs provided. 4) yard was goodOn the downside there were several deficiencies-1) the deck was VERY SLIPPERY. Several falls on this deck. There should be something applied to prevent slipping. The wood is rotten.2) not enough supplies in the kitchen. While there were lots of random things like bread maker, fondue pots, etc, there was only one serving platter that could be used. 3) there needs to be paper towels, and more dish towels. It is very inconvenient to have only one or two dish towels. 4) the oven is too small and it didn’t work at first because there was something wrong with the door. We figured it out eventually. 5) there should be a ‘Guest Instruction’ book to go over the smoke detectors, etc. we didn’t know how to turn it off after a bit of smoke on the stove, which resulted in a visit from the fire department. Should also have instructions on what to do with garbage, etc.6) the closet door in the downstairs hallway is off the rails.7) we couldn’t adjust the heat up or down which was very inconvenient. At times it was quite cold, which we didn’t enjoy.8) the two largest bedrooms were very loud all night with the sound of the furnace.

Fantastic Location

You really can’t beat the view from this home! Absolutely stunning!! Located on a large grassy, fenced, beachfront lot, it was very safe for our under 5 yo kids. The massive back deck with bbq, hot tub and dining table for 8 was where we spent the majority of our time. The house is large and was very comfortable for our family - we definitely did not feel like we were on top of each other. Appliances in the kitchen and laundry room were newer and all worked well. The kitchen had a decent supply of small appliances and utensils too. One place where this VRBO can improve is in the quality of beds and bedding. The downstairs master bed was propped up with wood in the centre of it, which may have improved the function, but not the comfort! Bedding was thin and extra blankets not supplied. Towels, however, were good quality and plentiful. The place was clean but windows had been left open (no screens) so spiders had come in - not terrible but just something that needed to be addressed. Screens would help with this. Binoculars would also be an awesome addition for whale watching! Overall, we would highly recommend this home for its location, size and amenities. A lovely family stay!

The house is very roomy, has a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and a spectacular view. The deck is huge with a hot tub which was a great place to unwind and enjoy the view. The wifi was great and TV had a variety of streaming options. Location was great…. Just off of 19A it was a nice 15 min leisurely drive to downtown Campbell River. Our family had a fantastic long weekend here and would definitely rent it again

It was everything we had hoped for. Comfy beds amazing view, specious and the ocean vista with morning coffees were fabulous. We are coming back. Matt , Our host was very caring in that all our needs were met.

Beautiful oceanfront home

My friends and I came up from Vancouver for a golfing and fishing trip in Campbell River, this place exceeded all of our expectations. Rooms were large with ensuites, house was well maintained and clean, and the property manager was very accommodating. The backyard was the highlight for us, incredible views with a big open yard and access to the ocean. Would highly recommend to anyone, and hope to come back one day myself!

Tolles Haus mit Meerblick

Das Haus von Matt ist wirklich wunderschön. Wir waren zu 7 Personen und hatten viel Platz. Es blieb kein Wunsch offen . Direkt neben dem Haus hatte ein Weisskopfadler sein Nest aufgeschlagen und wir haben sogar Whale gesehen - oder waren es Delphine ? Eine tolle Natur rundherum und vom Nachbarn durften wir sogar den Basketball Korb ausleihen . Schnelle Kommunikation- Check in , check out total easy Danke Matt - wir kommen wieder 😉

Great view but a little rough around the edges

The property is large, well equipped & comfortable with a great panoramic view from the deck. Considering the price the finish to the property ( tired kitchen, chipped plates & glasses) & quality of finish was not 5* however overall we enjoyed the stay

Great views and location!

Nice location! Property was 13 degrees on arrival. House took 24 hours to warm up due to poor insulation and inadequate window coverings! Vrbo said we could check in at 3 pm but Matt the property manager said house was not ready. Hot tub was great! Could use a floor mat by the back door to prevent slipping on floor when coming in from hot tub. Inaccurate to advertise fireplace as an “amenity” when it is not gas and no wood is provided! Siding on house exterior was dirty, especially on side of garage. Overall not great value for the price!
