Where to stay in Camino

Every summer for the past 7 years close to our Anniversary, Lynn and I stay an extended weekend in the Placerville, California area located in the Sierra foothills. This year we stayed in the nearby Apple Hill. Apple Hill is renowned for its orchards, wineries, and farms. Although each farm has something different to offer, we enjoy the apple donuts and pies. Apple wines and beer are also available for tasting. This photo is on the farm we stayed this weekend. The farm grows Christmas Trees and has a wedding venue at this pond.

"It’s a historic hotel in the old town of Placerville. The staff were very friendly. We had parking for our car. The bed wasn’t very comfortable but the room was quiet. It was great to be in walking distance of shops and wonderful restaurants!"

"Great place only a short bit out of the way, just enough to be away from the hustle but close enough to make a quick trip to various Tahoe locations or go explore clear mountain lakes.
