The Space:
This lovely eco-friendly house is a real home away from home. Not only is it furnished with high-quality fittings and fixtures, the space is beautifully designed with scandi-inspired furniture and an antique twist. There’s tons of room to cook up a feast in the spacious kitchen - a gas powered six-ring double Range oven, ample utensils and even a utility room to boot. The vast, open-plan layout is sociable and airy too, with stunning views of the valley framed by huge French doors and windows. Enjoy slow morning coffees from the comfort of the breakfast bar or out on the decked terrace when the sun’s shining. In the evenings, take big, lively dinners around the dining table before settling into the comfortable sofas in front of the fire. Whether it's movies, board games or books you fancy, there’s something for everyone at Valley View.
Upstairs, you’ll be taken away by the vast lofty ceilings, exposed wooden beams and dappled sunlight streaming in. It’s a serene and tranquil sort of place. The house accommodates 7 guests across four bedrooms: 3 king rooms and an additional twin room which is located downstairs. Plus, the option of an additional single day bed in the master. Each room has its own unique feel, with colourful textures, vibrant artwork and tasteful furnishings. There’s also plenty of storage space so you can unpack and really make yourselves at home. The master has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. Meanwhile, the further bedrooms share a large family bathroom with a generous deep bath and a walk in shower. Outside, a boiler room provides a great place to air and dry wetsuits and towels after a day on the beach. Its peaceful country views, stunning interiors and vast space makes this the perfect home to enjoy Cornwall’s gentle nature.

The Neighborhood:
Valley View is nestled away on a quiet rural road on the outskirts of Camelford. Its quiet and peaceful location means you can enjoy the gentle sounds of nature all around. Whilst still remaining just a five minutes walk from the town centre and its excellent amenities. Located on the North Cornish coast, Camelford is a small market town with a thriving community. You’ll find a local butchers, fruit and veg shop, award-winning fish and chip shop, a local pub, Post Office, Co-op, petrol station and multiple convenience stores. Just a 10 minute drive from the coast, it offers a fantastic base for exploring this magical part of Cornwall and beyond.
Walkers will love taking off on long, scenic trails straight from the door - there are so many to be enjoyed in the local area. Or, head to the coast and pick up the famous South West Coast Path where you can discover secret coves, hidden beaches and the picturesque Rocky Valley. The wonderful Trebarwith Beach is just a 10 minute drive away and is perfect for families, swimmers and sun-worshippers alike. Much like many of the beaches in the area, they remain relatively quiet even in the summer months. Offering a refreshing respite from the business of Cornwall. In the evening, Trebarwith Strand is blessed with some truly stunning sunsets so make sure you pack a picnic blanket and a cold beer or two!
Along the coast, you’ll also find Tintagel and Boscastle - both charming Cornish villages with a lovely walk that connects them. The historic Tintagel Castle is a must-visit, nestled high up on a cliffs edge with some of the best views around. Linked with the legend of King Arthur, for centuries this dramatic castle and coastline has fuelled the imaginations of writers and artists. Stop by either village for a delicious pub lunch, a local ale or a traditional Cornish Cream Tea - you certainly won’t be disappointed!
This part of Cornwall is lucky to boast some beautiful nature reserves and wildlife sites. Trebarwith CWT Reserve and St Nectan’s Waterfall to name a few. You’ll find more of our local tips and tricks in our Guest Guide, which is available upon booking.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, we would recommend bringing a car for your stay. There is ample parking for 4 vehicles on the driveway. For those without a vehicle, the property is on the local bus route for Boscastle and Tintagel. Plus, ample local taxis are available and the area is popular for cycling.
We provide an electric vehicle adapter to charge EVs from an outdoor mains plug socket (please note it is not an installed EV charger). There’s also a fast charger nearby in the town’s car park.
Other Things to Note:
Please note, the stairs are not ideal for those with mobility limitations as the staircase winds and has open treads. Please refer to the photos for details.
Dogs are welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms, not left in the property unattended and any mess cleaned up after.
The twin room is on the ground floor, so those with younger children should be aware!
