Clean, reasonably priced, comfortable hotel with good parking. breakfast not included. Excellent when visiting family. Walking distance from centre
Hotel staff friendly but didnt always understand my queries. Not a problem though
All fine, efficient and comfortable, although a bit noisy even at the back, had to close window because of traffic.
Near enough to walk into town via river, although had to cross busy road and use underpass or could probably take more direct route (1 mile). Parking was fine but felt we needed to leave car in place at risk of losing our spot! Car park was obviously full later on as cars parked on ramp leading out of car park on the Sunday morning.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
Good staff, ok location, hot and/or noisy rooms
Room perfectly adequate if basic (still very new), but the lack of air-conditioning and inability to open the window by more than a few inches meant that it was unpleasantly hot on what was a warm, but not particularly hot, summer night. Removing the duvet and sleeping under the duvet cover only helped. Other than this, positive comments are the well-targeted common facilities and very helpful staff, negative comments are noise even at the back of the hotel when the window is open (though not surprising on a Saturday night in summer) and from the room doors, which bang shut.
They were absolutely packed and a few mistakes were made but the very busy staff were polite and put things right as quickly as they could. This is a very basic hotel - not even shampoo, but it is spotless. We had a baby and they put us far away from the hen parties which was very considerate!
As this was a new hotel it was very up to standard. The staff were very helpful, even though they seemed very busy. Would stay again if I was in the area. £81 seemed a little overpriced as it was a Travelodge, but I did book late.
I arrived at 7.30pm after a very long days travel but I had to wait 15 minutes for service despite ringing the bell and seeing the same staff who eventually cam to serve me wandering around and looking at us sheepishly (there were others waiting too). The two people waiting in front of me had been there a while before i arrived and had checked in but didn't have any towles in their room. I wanted to check in and the people behind me had already checked in but had no bedding in their room. When I was finally checked in I was told the room had already been paid for and my receipt was printed out and handed to me showing it had been paid. I asked if I had to pay for a colleagues room (who had already arrived/checked in) as both rooms had been booked on my credit card - they weren't sure, checked and confirmed I would have to pay for this and realised that they had processed the previous transaction incorrectly so charged me for both rooms at which point my colleague arrived in the lobby to say he had already paid for his room, which meant I now required a refund. This process took three members of staff and another 15 minutes. I appreciate this is a new hotel but training and customer service needs to be improved. The time and date also nees to be set on the teles in the guest rooms so the TV guide can be used - attention to detail requied.
