The Space:
A spacious and bright first floor apartment recently renovated to high standards. It has an independent entrance on the ground floor leading to a large hallway with plenty of space for your suitcases, shoes and coats. A staircase will take you to the bright first floor landing. On the right handside you will find the family bathroom with a bath/shower, a large storage unit, sink and WC. There is also a large cupboard where the washing machine is located, iron and ironing board.
To the left you will find two generous double bedrooms with plenty of storage space. The biggest room has a king size bed and the other a double bed. On the right there is the open plan living area with dining & kitchen. There is a smart TV and two double sofas. The table in the dining area is extendable and comfortably sits up to 4 guests. There is a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances including separate fridge & freezer, oven, electric hob and slimline dishwasher. You will find amongst other appliances, a Nespresso Dolce Gusto automatic coffee machine and we have left a selection of coffee pods for you to enjoy .
Heating is controlled by a portable thermostat so you can adjust the temperature to suit your needs.
The Neighborhood:
Canterbury Street is set in a quiet location off Huntingdon Road, about 0.75 miles to the north of the market square, 0.5 miles from Magdalene Bridge and within the Castle and Victoria Road conservation area. It is well located for the excellent local facilities on Histon Road. The property is also close to New Hall and Fitzwilliam College. The City centre, many colleges and facilities offered by the university are within walking or cycling distance. Plenty of restaurants and pubs on Castle Street. Magdalene Bridge and the Quayside with all their restaurants, shops and bars by the river Cam are only about 15 minutes walking distance.
Getting Around:
The property is close to the City centre (approx. 10/15 minutes walking distance) so we recommend walking around or if you want to feel like a true 'Cantabrigian', hire a bicycle.
The nearest bust stop for Bus 6 to the city centre is on Huntingdon Road near the corner with Westfield Road, opposite Fitzwilliam College (approx. 5 minutes walking distance from the property).
Cambridge railway station is about 1.75 miles with regular services to both Liverpool Street (68 minutes) and Kings Cross (48 minutes) mainline stations. Addenbrooke’s Hospital/Biomedical Campus is about 3.2 miles away. The M11 can easily be accessed at Madingley Road (Junction 13) about 2 miles.
