"This little tiny summer house is very comfortable and welcoming for our family. At 5 mn to the medieval village of Domme, with a swmming pool, it's a perfect place to spend holidays. Jurgen and Therese have been very kind."

"Located in a side valley to the Vezère, the cottage is situated directly next to the very picturesque tiny Village of Valojoulx. The region does not require further recommendation... "Joli petit gîte, bien situé entre Gramat et Rocamadour. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Il y a une cuisine équipée, seule manque une bouilloire. La terrasse est agréable, bordée par un tilleul qui procure de l'ombre par beau temps. Bref, un séjour agréable où les seuls voisins étaient les moutons et les poules."

"WLAN did not work"

"Great location, lovely pool! The rooms are spacious. It would. We didn't know until we left that there were some breakfast products available in the building next to the pool. Also, there wasn't any info on the gym. A bit more comprehensive info in English (probably other languages too) would really help. Also, check in time of 5pm is really late, and check out of 10 is too early. I appreciate they need to clean a whole apartment, but its difficult to work with those times."

"This was an amazing hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very clean, large with a lovely view on the deck of the gardens. The breakfast was also worth paying for. We would definitely come back to this hotel again. Best hotel we have stayed in so far during our France visit. "

"La Villa des Consuls is located in the heart of old Sarlat, with all the amenities that entails. The staff is nice and helpful, putting us in touch with a great guide and setting up our taxis to and from the rail station. Breakfast is tasty and reasonably priced, but above all, our two bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. It also included a usable kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the main commercial street. Despite that, it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Just brilliant. The rooms are in an excellent refurbishment of an ancient house in the centre of the medieval city. Communication was excellent - we loved the films describing where to find the parking and the entrance. The parking is free and close so please dont let that put you off staying here."

Domaine du Château de Monrecour – Hôtel et Restaurant

Stay more than 1 night!

"1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark. 2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large! 3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot! 4. Breakfast "buffet" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $. 5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather. 6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure. 7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower! We would love to return!"
