"This is the perfect place for a girl’s trip or family getaway! The property is gorgeous with lots of room for outdoor activities. If the weather doesn’t permit, the house is spacious and filled with activities such as board games, instruments if your family or friends are musically inclined, books, and television. The check in and checkout process was smooth, and the host was very responsive when we had questions. We left with all 11 in our group wanting to return each year to this perfect...

"There have been some changes since the property pictures were taken. For instance, we were pleasantly suprised to see a full size bunk bed, but no recliner or gas fire pit outside(which was no big deal at all just something we noticed) Property and Porta-potty were clean. I'm glad I packed like for when camping as there weren't paper towels, paper plates or trashbags available. Which we could have bought at Dollar General or wal-mart had I not brought them (so again, no big deal). We didn't...

"Really top notch; clean, comfortable and spacious. Took 3 hikes, Washington State Park on the way in, Johnson Shut-Ins on day 2 and Taum Sauk mountain on day 3. Hikers note that trails in this area are mostly rugged. Nice to come home after each to a comfortable home!"

"Everything was perfect (except for the weather at check-in!). The location is wonderful, we loved the bathroom/showers and greenhouse where we could hang and eat and admire Benka's plants! (So many orchids!). Keith was an awesome host filling us in on everything - even the surrounding area. The walking paths are beautiful and serine. The additional 5 canine hosts were adorable and Mici I'm so sorry you didn't spend at least one night with us! I wish we would have been able to stay longer...

"The property was very nice. Bed was hard and they do not supply any sheets, pillows or blankets. This is a single room with a very small fridge and microwave only. I also sent several messages to the owner and got no response. We made the best of it. The bathroom shown in the pics are of the shower house which is mediocre at best. . It desperately needs a good cleaning."

"Everyone loved our too short stay. We were in town for a family event and weren't able to enjoy the property to its fullest, but will definitely return in the future to take advantage of the hot tub, extensive grounds, and fire pit. Everything was as described online and getting in, even as late as we arrived, was easy. Excellent experience. "

"Great place to stay for visiting Elephant Rock and some river shut-ins."

"We have been here before. This is our second stay. We love the tin roof cabin. We call it the girl scout cabin because of the layout of the beds but we heard it used to be a nunery. Either way it is a spectacular property. We were traveling with all of our children and spouses. We love The Abbey Kitchen, Elephant Rocks, Johnsons Shut-Ins, and new this time we rafted with Parks Bluff. A great trip. Two things; the listing says toaster and we didn't see one. Also the air wasn't working...

"The house was great the yard was great wished we weren’t so rushed and had the time to enjoy the surroundings. The upstairs shower was on the small side, thin walls so depends on who you are sharing the upstairs with they will hear you and front bedroom you can hear the road very well. We had long days so able to sleep through it after the first night. This is a great country house. "
