"Lovely house. Nothing worked. Owner never checked appliances worked before we arrived. We were made to pay for new appliances, beds held together with cable ties and a live chandelier which my husband got a shock off. Not suitable for very young or elderly as steep steps have no hand rails."

"Lovely, spacious and well appointed property. The gardens are very well kept and all our needs were catered for. The children loved the space, pool and play area. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedding was fresh, clean and tidy. It is secure and safe environment and we will use it again. The owners are really nice people and were available if we needed anything. Good value for the money paid. Thank you to our host. James"

We chose not to hire a car which was absolutely fine we simply walked down the mountain to the fruit shop which has a bus stop outside, although we only ever saw one bus pass there, and got a taxi from there into Almunecar and a taxi back up to the property. "This felt like a very Spanish home in a very Spanish village. An internal courtyard that runs up through the 3 floors of the house made it easy to keep the house cool. Terraces or balconies on every floor provided pretty views over the valley and across to other parts of the village. You need to be prepared to park a short distance from the house in a public car park or on the street as the roads leading to the house are very narrow and there's no dedicated parking space."

"This is a lovely large Villa which was perfect for us as we were 3 families holidaying together. Plenty of outdoor space and the shared pool (although we were the only ones in it) was well kept and a good size for swimming and diving. It's a 10 min walk down a steep hill to the town. Very manageable, but if you struggle then there are plenty of taxis around for a lift back up (7 Euros). Lovely area - very spanish which was great. Almunicar is a 20 min walk along the beach front.
