"Es Maressos" is a 2 acres waterfront estate ring fenced with stone walls that comprises two houses surrounded by a mediterranean botanical garden. The "main house" (250 square meters) has 4 bedrooms and 4 ensuite bathrooms. Linen in particular is 5 stars hotel quality.

When booking a stay at Es Maressos, it is understood that it is the "main house" that you reserved. The "casita" can be added for a small supplement.Consult with the owner in case you wanr or need to book the two houses.

The main house entrance porch opens on the living room, dining room, study and TV room, luxuriously furnished and decorated with large contemporary paintings and photos from renowned artists. The kitchen area in particular is located underneath a spacious porch with large glass sliding doors. With 180°sea view it opens on the swimming pool area so that meals can be prepared or cooked while fully participating to the life and animation of the rest of the group. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the usual appliances (german brands) and comprises a large round granite table sitting 8.

Wrapped with covered terraces (100 square meter) the house is naturally ventilated and ceiling fans can provide with additional cooling. Bioclimatic awnings maintain the inside temperature between 6 to 8 degrees celsius below the outside temperature. For the winter season, the house is heated with a floor heating system.

A comfortable separate laundry room completes the technical equipment of the house. Of course it goes without saying that a high speed WIFI is available.

There is an outside mobile kitchen well equipped with Plancha, fridge, utensils, etc. where the cook will operate in front of the sea and serve directly his guests sitting around a table well protected from the sun by a large covered porch overlooking cala Macs.

A heated infinity pool is adjacent on the east side of the house and children friendly.
Safety is not only a word. Access to the pool is controlled: locked doors prevent kids to go to the pool if parents prohibit it. But nothing will match parents surveillance.

The property is ring fenced with stone walls which is safe for children and assures a high degree of privacy.

Parking facilities for up to three cars are available on the property.

Sea access is possible at the low end of the property. Note that the sea border in Spain is public and accessing the rock platform that is levelled with the sea will need you to use your hands and feet. It is doable and once on the platform you will be out of this world. Jumping in the sea from the platform is easy. Nothing replaces a swim in the waves. Not recommended though if the sea is rough as getting off the water can then be difficult.

Besides the big house referred to as the "Main house", there is a second house on the property: the "Casita" (40 square meters) that sleeps 2, raising the total sleeping capacity of Es Maressos to 10.

The Casita is decorated, furnished and has a shower room with a washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen and its own private terraces.

Separated from the "Main house" by the pool area it is also at a lower level. So, it is close but completely distinct with its own private access. Built the traditional way with stones. With its large glass sliding doors it is the perfect combination of contemporary architecture and ancient stone work. From the spacious main room you have a breath taking view on the Cala Macs on one side and the gardens on the other.

So close but separate and independent, the casita is ideal for hosting Grand parents or friends who may want privacy and yet be close to the rest of the group.

The posted rental price (EUR 1'350) is for the main house only (8persons). The casitas (2 persons) can be rented in addition for a supplement (EUR 100). This way the total capacity is 10 beds.

If the main house is rented and the casita not, the latter remains empty so that Es Maressos' guests are assured to be the only ones on the property.


The main house was built in the early sixties but has been constantly maintained, renovated, modernised and even extended so that it now is a nice combination of traditional architecture with contemporary additions providing all the necessary accommodations for stays at any season of the year. The casita has been added about 20 years ago: it is a micro house fully equipped with sleeping corner a large living corner overlooking the sea and the gardens. A kitchen and bathroom complete the casita.

The property is two acres large, one half , on the south , is overlooking the sea and planted with century old olive trees and specific mediterranean vegetation like Alep pine trees, Cypresses, Ficus, Yuccas, cactuses. On the other side of the drive way, lays the other half of the property where you will find fields planted with almond trees, more olive trees, palm trees, Caroub trees, etc. This botanical garden assembles over 150 different plants and trees.
The whole estate is ring fenced with the traditional stone wall and coming from Cala Santanyi, following the signs 'Es Pontas' you will drive 50 meters on a dead end private road before seeing the gate to Es Maressos. The parking and the houses are 25 meters further to the left.

The estate is actually part of a greater zone, state protected because of archeological interest. Hence there are no other constructions close by except for the only one existing before 1960, and of course no traffic. The view point on the Pontas attracts visitors but the property is safe and very private.

Cala Santanyi which is at a 5 minutes walk from the property offers not only its white sandy beach but also 3 restaurants and a small supermarket where you will find all the necessary to supply the house in food, wine etc and more importantly freshly cooked bread available daily from 08:30 a.m.

The village of Santanyi is 3 miles away. You will find all the shops, restaurants, services, super markets etc... and twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) a colourful and animated market invades the center of this otherwise quiet village.

Many sightseeing points are worth your visit: The fish harbour of Cala Figuera (2 miles), The marinas of Cala d'Or or Porto Petro (10 miles) with their bordering restaurants, the white sandy beaches of S'Amarador, Es Trench, Llombards, S'Almunia, cala des Moro, all of them being close. Of course the closest remains the Cala Santanyi beach which can be reached with a 5 minutes walk. The view point of La Consolacio is also worth a visit, besides its spectacular view point on the entire area with the Island of Cabrera in the distance, there is also this little chapel dedicated to the Virgin where people can rest, think or pray. All these places are within a radius of 15 miles.
A little further you have of course the city of Palma, not to be missed on any account, the northern side of the island with its mountains etc. Guides are available in the study of the house.
