"Any time of year is a good time to visit Cedar Mountain. In the winter, there's beauty in the stark, bare trees, and you can see so far into the woods, and it's wonderful. In the summer, everything is full and lush; a riot of colorful flowers and the forest is dense with greenery and birdsong. In the Fall, there's the changing leaves, the smell of woodsmoke from the fire-pit (assuming it's safe, always check first!), the sight of deer and squirrels snacking a little extra to get ready for winter.But for me, Spring at Cedar Mountain, with its daffodils and lilies of the valley and snowdrops, the green buds on the trees and the way the sunshine filters through and bathes everything it touches in a yellow-green glow. That's what I love most. I take refuge in the hammock on the porch, book in hand, and when my eyes get tired of reading, I rest them on the trees and I listen to the birds, and I feel at peace.Being here fills me with a sense of hope and renewal, and my family and I leave every visit already planning our next stay."

"This is the place to go to get away and relax. If you want privacy, clean and well kept place then this is it. Great place to relax and read sit by a fire and enjoy life. "

"Zero response from property owner. While very cute, it had some issues. Previous guest left garbage in the second bedroom, and a dirty diaper. The bed was also not changed. We had a surprise guest roach join us on the couch but that was the only one. "

"Our stay was great. Visited the pretty place chapel for aun raise for one of my sons that passed in December 07,2024 but we only had buried him 2 weeks prior and it was his 21st birthday. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy sharing memories of Jacob.. "

"My family and I had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. We unfortunately were evacuated due to wildfires in the middle of the week and Jan was very helpful, caring and accommodating for us as we had to leave abruptly in the middle of the night. Otherwise the property is beautiful. The cabin is spacious and feels like home and we loved the kitchen and location to near rivers and waterfalls. "

"My wife and I, and our Rough Coated Collie, completely enjoyed this great house! The house is well equipped, clean, comfortable, and secluded and met our needs very well. The large fenced backyard was a great feature for our Collie to play in. This was our third visit to this house and are looking forward to another stay. "We were in much need of a getaway! Booked this great escape with hot tub…we always LOVE hot tubs! House was secluded, easy to get to and of course the hot tub was…pristine! We did notice a window open on the second level that kept the house around 63 degrees (couldn’t reach)…felt bad having fireplace and heat blaring but no luck in raising temp. Called maintenance and within ten mins they were out to close window… temp rose drastically to 70 within 30 mins. Great cabin. Will book again!!"
