"Lovely place to stay staff friendly clean beds comfortable .stairs very steep need to take your time with them people with poor mobility would find them hard to cope .there is room for 2 cars to park opposite hotel or need to park in carpark a 2-5 minute walk away .you can purchase a parking pass for £5 per day to stay there and it also cover other cars named on list in different car parks food served is very good in the restaurant not too pricey ."

"A lovely warm room with a comfortable bed and well placed for visiting sites in the area. The staff were helpful and the hotel had a nice ambiance. The breakfast was good with a good choice of different breakfasts."

"Love the Metropole.. the staff are excellent especially Spencers Brasserie staff .. food fabulous .good menu and very attentive staff. Lovely spa facilities .. good bed linen .. could do with better coffee in rooms and biscuits, also no non alco cocktails in bar.. but still had the best of times"
